Hey guys,

So we all say in seeing is believing. But do you think that's what Jesus expects from us?

I'll try to give a brief answer to this.

KEYTEXT:

John 4:48-50 (NIV)

"Unless you people see signs and wonders,' Jesus told him, 'you will never believe'.

The royal official said, 'Sir, come down before my child dies'.

'Go,' Jesus replied, 'your son will live'. The man took Jesus at his word and departed".

We need to go against a "seeing is believing" mind-set and take Jesus at his word, as did the royal official.

I would like to leave a quote from a book to enlighten you more about the above statement.

Ellen G. White (The Desire of Ages,  p.200)

"The nobleman wanted to see the fulfilment of his prayer before he should believe; but he had to accept the word of Jesus that his request was heard and the blessing granted. This lesson we also have to learn. Not because we see or feel that God hears us are we to believe. We are to trust in His promises...When we have asked for His blessing, we should believe that we receive it, and thank Him that we have received it. Then we are to go about our duties, assured that the blessing will be realized when we need it most".

John 20:29

'Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'.

So I am sharing this so that you can stop that 'seeing is believing' mind-set and have faith in God. BELIEVE and You will see God's promises come to pass in your life. When you pray and ask for the Lord's blessing, we should believe. Believe you have received it! Believe it is done! Believe! Believe! That's what I want you to note. Believe! Believe in God, Believe in His Son, Jesus Christ and Believe in the Holy Spirit. Believe that your Almighty God can do it all.

May you be blessed as you have taken time to read this.
