I want to share what I've learnt about that 'HOLY SPIRIT'.
° The Holyspirit came to take Jesus' place with us.
° The Holyspirit came to bring Jesus' presence to us.
° The Holy spirit will teach Jesus to us.
° The Holy spirit will speak the truth of Jesus to us.
° The Holy spirit is like a matchmaker or celestial marriage broker that ensures Christ and YOU STAY TOGETHER.
* That's why Jesus said it is for your advantage that I leave you.
'THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CHRIST'S REPRESENTATIVE' – Desire of Ages by E.G White (p. 666).
When the Holy spirit comes, it brings all the blessings with its train. Blessings like forgiveness, peace, joy, Honesty and much more.
Jesus will give you this Holy spirit if you continually ask Him.
'Our prayers should be earnest and persistent. The more persistent and earnest it is, the closer you are to getting it'.
Two conditions that leads to being baptized with the Holy spirit.
1. You ask for all of Him (Jesus Christ).
2. He asks for all of you.
Surrender all to Christ Jesus and earnestly ask for the Holyspirit. 'Seek and ye shall find...'
I have a prayer that can help you with this:
Steps to Christ – E.G. White.
"Consecrate yourself to God in the morning; make this your very first work. Let your prayer be,
'Take me, O Lord, as wholly Thine. I lay all my plans at this feet. Use me today in thy service, Abide with me, and let all my work be wrought in Thee'.
This prayer should always be a daily matter. If you read between the lines, you will see the great meaning it has in it.
It says, "I lay all my plans at thy feet...". This is when the word 'Surrender' comes into the picture. Surrendering all to God is not just the best way to live but the only way. By surrendering, you'll find a peace that no man can give to you.
It says, "Use me today in thy service..." Therefore, always ask for God's will to be done. Always be willing to fulfill God's purpose for you on earth. Our number one goal should be to be used by God for His service.
It also says, "Abide with me!"
It's important to ask for God's presence in your daily life. God doesn't mind you asking for Him. It shows you love Him and you want Him in your life.
Lastly, it says "....Let all my work be wrought in Thee". What I personally understand from this is that you should always seek to glorify God in all you do. Let your work glorify Him daily.
