I had woken up today with a spring to my step, a smile on my face and a music in my heart. I felt so jolly as I headed to her house. The golden orb in the sky was still bright though merciless. I had the mind to trek under its ray and it showed me why it was named sun. I was drenched by my own sweat as I headed towards my beloved friend's house. My plan was just to have a good laugh with her. I mean, why not! I got to her house and presently, I can't explain how our conversation got to what it is now.
"Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful" Clara, my beloved friend, repeats as she stares out the window. I purse my lips. I had plans to watch a comedy with her but here she is, staring out the window. What's her problem?
"So beautiful!" she repeats again.
"Aargh! I know the world is beautiful, so?"
"No! You are wrong"
"I am what?" I sneer and eye her. I've been patiently sitting on her bed, waiting for her to give me her undivided attention. She finally glances at me.
"God's creation is beautiful," her voice echoes with sobriety.
I roll my eyes and huff. "Okay! I know that"
"You don't get"
"Clara, can we watch this comedy or should I go home?" I roar.
"Girl, calm down"
"I'm calm" I snap, my icy glare on her.
"Calm people don't yell"
"I didn't yell"
"You did"
"I didn't"
"Calm down"
"What's your problem?" I bark and she flinches. My brows crease together as I send a heated gaze at her.
"Calm down. I just realize how beautiful God's creation is. Even though this world is as sinful at it is, it's still beautiful. Now, imagine how Heaven would be? A place devoid of pain, suffering, destruction and more. I mean, we will get to see the true beauty of a new Heaven and a new Earth".
I purse my lips. "I understand".
"You say so but are you imagining it?" She raises a brow at me and a serene smile rest on her features.
My heart melts at her words. I shut my eyes and let the thought flow in. I imagine a world free from sin and all the negativities that come with it. I can picture a smile on my face when I can interact and be absorb by the true and pure beauty of God's creation.
"I won't lie," I say and rise from the bed. I move to Clara and stop at her front. "I want to meet Jesus in Heaven".
Her smile gets broader. "Me too".
"I'm so curious about alot," I chuckle. "I have some questions to ask Jesus".
Clara's brows shoots up.
"What?" I burst into a fit of laughter. "Can't I ask my best friend some questions?"
She matches my laughter and I smile at the beautiful thought of Heaven. The best gift I can give to myself is to work for a treasure worthy of my time and that's eternal life. Other are vanity.
*Just wanted to say that Jesus is coming soon and Heaven is far important than anything on this Earth*.
