Someone left a comment in this book. It was a question. It says, how can you receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I replied that I would prepare a message for that. I made some research from the Bible and some spiritual books. I hope you will be blessed by it.

        The Holy Spirit.

It is not essential for us to be able to define just what the Holy Spirit is. Christ tells us that the Spirit is the Comforter, "the Spirit of truth, which procedure from the Father".

John 14:16, 17 says

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you for ever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. BT your know him, for he lives with you and will be in you". {NIV}

      The nature of the Holy Spirit is a mystery. Men cannot explain it, because the Lord has not revealed it to them. Men having fanciful views may bring together passages of scripture and put a human construction on them, but the acceptance of these views will not strengthen the church. Regarding such mysteries, which are too deep for human understanding, silence is golden.

The office of the Holy Spirit is distinctly specified in the words of Christ: "When He comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment". John 16:8

It is the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin. If the sinner responds to the quickening influence of the Spirit, he will be brought to repentance and aroused to the importance of obeying the divine requirements.

The Holy Spirit works in our lives in three phase. (John 16:8-11). First, He convicts us of our sin to bring us to Jesus. Second, He convicts us of Christ's righteousness which is sufficient to save us. Third, He expels Satan and sin from our lives. (John 16:11)

Having brought conviction of sin, and presented before the mind the standard of righteousness, the Holy Spirit withdraws the affections from the things of this earth and fills the soul with a desire for holiness. "He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13), the Saviour declared. If men are willing to be molded, there will be brought about a sanctification of the whole being. The Spirit will take the things of God and stamp them on the soul. By this power the way of life will be made since plain that none need err therein.

"When you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, then you will understand more of the joys of salvation than you have known all your life Hitherto" (Ellen White. Manuscript Release. Vol 5. p.231)

Sincerely, I just did my own research. I'm not a pastor and I am definitely not the kind of person that knows a lot about the bible. However, while reading and studying about Holy Spirit, I think there are two stages:

-- "To all who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior, the Holy Spirit has come as a counselor, sanctifier, guide and witness".
I think this is the first stage. If you accept Jesus as your personality Savior, you receive this Holy Spirit.

---However, I think there is another stage. I'm not sure. Just what I feel and understand. "The presence of the Spirit with God's workers will give the proclamation of truth a power that not all honor of glory of the world could give..... The Spirit of the Almighty is moving upon men's hearts, and those who respond of its influence become witnesses for God and His truth". Here, I think it's the Holy Spirit that gives man the boldness and courage to proclaim and spread God's word. The Holy Spirit that gives you a new life. This is what I understand.

Now to receive the Holy Spirit that will give you the courage to proclaim God's word, to life for Christ, to start a new life and to surrender all to God,...MOVE TO THE NEXT CHAPTER. I will share with you all I know about the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and how you can receive it.

There are steps you should follow. I studied it and I felt inspired. I plan of also following those steps so that I can receive the Baptist of the Holy Spirit. Don't be scared. I believe that if you seek first the kingdom of God, others will be added onto you. God will never disappoint you.

God bless you all for reading this. Thank best chapter will be updated soon. Pls share your thoughts on this lesson. You can also make your own research and tell me what you understand about the Holy Spirit.
