Many a time man declares repentance that is not backed up with true change. In our prayers, we say "Lord, forgive us our sins". It is one thing to say "forgive me" and another to actually mean it enough to change your ways.

Today, I want to encourage you by the words written in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Whenever you have doubt about God ever accepting you back when you confess, read this Bible verse again. Also, genuine repentance is not only revealed in our words but actions. If you confess your sins to God, it is sensible to refrain from doing it again. Genuine repentance should cause a change in your heart. Your confession should be sincere, acknowledging every sins of which you are guilty. Then, a change happens when we humble our hearts to God and comply to His teachings.

Today, let's make great efforts to stop doing that which offends God and guard our ways with His word.

God bless you. 😁
