Aliyah P.O.V.
"Aliyah, breakfast is ready!!!" I sighed as I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail before grabbing my Micheal Kors purse off the bed. I hit the lights and stepped out of my room, closing the door behind me.
"Mornin, lil ugly." I rolled my eyes once I seen AJ coming out his bedroom. "Your the ugly one, not me." He chuckled as we walked down the hallway, to the stairs. "Ugly? Nah, Im far from that."
He pushed me out the way and walked down the stairs before me. "Your so annoying." I said, following him down the stairs. He fanned me off, before stepping into the kitchen.
"Damn, what smells so good up in here?" I walked into the kitchen after him and took my usual seat at the table.
"First of all, watch your mouth, and second, your smelling the chocolate chip panacakes I made." My mom grabbed our two ready plates and sat one infront of me, before sitting AJ's infront of his usual seat.
"Goodmorning, Im glad y'all are on time this morning, make sure it stays that way." She poured two glasses of orange juice and placed them on the table.
"Yeah mama, we know." AJ said, grabbing a piece of bacon off the tray. "Sit down and stop touchin all the food." AJ smirked and sat down at the table.
"Where pops at?" He asked, scooting his chair in. "Still upstairs, he'll be down any minute, you guys just eat, I don't want you late for school."
I picked up my fork and began to eat. "How you feeling this morning baby? You still coming by the boutique later?" I looked up from my plate and nodded.
"Im good, and yeah, you know I have to, so I can get my party next weekend." She chuckled. "Oh, so that's the only reason your helping me out huh?" I smirked and shook my head no.
"No, you know I like helping you out mom, but you and daddy did say that I had to help out at the boutique if I wanted to have a party for my eightenth birthday." She nodded.
"We did say that." I frowned a little. "So? Are you guys gunna let me have the party? I mean my birthday's next weekend, and I need to start tellin people about it if I want them to come."
She turned back to the stove to fix my dad's plate. "I don't know, wait until your dad comes downstairs, and you can ask him." I slightly rolled my eyes. "Can't you just tell me"?" She nodded.
"I could, but I want you to ask your father." I sighed and folded my arms across my chest. "But you know how he is, I don't wanna ask him." She shrugged. "Oh well, you have too."
"Well look on the bright side Li." AJ said, as he chewed his food. "If he says no, he saved you some embarrasment, ain't nobody was comin anyways."
I sucked my teeth and kicked him under the table. "Shutup, you alays have something slick to say." He laughed. "I love you too sis."
I heard a muffled vibration coming from my purse. I quickly reached my hand inside, and pulled out my phone. I smiled once I seen a text from Amara.
AMARA(7:15AM)- Be there in fifteen.
I closed the message and dropped my phone back in my purse. "Mornin everyone." I looked up to see my dad, stepping in the kitchen. He smirked, walking over to my mom, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her cheek. "Morning ma."
She smiled. "Goodmorning." He turned around and walked over to AJ, giving him dap. "Wassup man? When's the next game?" He pulled out his chair and took his usual seat across from me at the table.
"Friday, but I got pratice damn near all week." "Language." My mom said, causing my dad to chuckle. "Ight cool, you keepin dem grades up right?" He nodded. "Of course, that's the only way we can play pops you know that." He nodded before looking over at me.
