"Sit down in that chair, and let him get this shit off your head." I sighed, sitting down in the salon chair.
After what Benny told me yesterday, I had no choice but to get rid of my blue hair and extensions. I was gunna handle it by myself, but for some reason Benny felt the need to run to mama and tell her I needed to change my hair, so she took that and ran with it.
"So what am I doin?" Auntee Ellis asked, placing the apron around me. I opened my mouth to speak, but mama cut me off.
"Well first, we're taking them blue extensions out her head." She started. "And then I want you to dye her hair back black, like it should have been in the first place." I sighed, not bothering to say anything.
"That's it?" He asked, scrunching up his face. "She's my first client of my new salon and that's all ima do??"
Mama smacked her lips together. "As long as you make her look like she used to be, I don't care what else you do." He smirked. "You ain't gotta tell me twice, alright Li-Li, let's start taking these out." He said, grabbing the ends of my extensions.

I pulled my gym bag up on my shoulder, as I walked through the doors of the boys and girls club.
Kenny had told me to meet him in the back feild around 10. I was only a few minutes late, so I was hoping that they haven't got started yet.
I still wasn't a hundred percent sure about these auditions today, but I couldn't turn back now.
I walked up to the activity board, looking for the football try-out flyer. I squinted my eyes, trying to find it, when I heard Kenny's voice behind me.
"Aye, you came."
I turned around, giving him a head nod. "Yeah, Im here."
"That's wassup." He said with a smirk. "I knew you would change yo mind." He held out his hand so I could give him dap.
I slightly chuckled, dapping him up. "I guess you was right."
"Ight, you ready to see the competition out there?" I shrugged. "I guess, how many people is out there?"
"Ion know." He started. "Everybody's gettin a number now." He said, motioning to the number on his shirt.
"Get out there so you can get yours." I took a deep breath, clearing my throat. "Yeah...ight....let's go."

"So what's been going on with you two? I could feel the tension between y'all when y'all stepped inside the room."
I sighed looking over my shoulder at Aliyah, who was sitting under the dryer.
"Too much to explain." Ellis sucked his teeth, leaning back into his seat. "Girl we gone be here for another hour, you got time to tell us."
I paused for a second, not sure where to start. "Last time we talked, I told y'all how she was getting a little out of hand right?"
They both nodded. "Yeah, back at my baby shower, I remember you was telling us how she was acting different, but you never got into any of the details, cause Trey had interrupted you."
"...It's way passed acting different, she's completely changed on me, and Im tryna turn her ass around before she gets any worse."
"Changed how?" Kerri asked, lifting a brow. "She' been lying, sneaking around with this little boy I don't like, and being disrespectful."
