"And then I found this lavender dress that I really liked, but I didn't get it, because I still wanna look some more, but I wanted to know what you thought about that color?"
I looked over at Marcus, who had been mostly quiet for this whole ride to school.
"Hello?" I said, waving my hand.
He cleared his throat, as he pulled up to a red light. "Uh yeah...um Lavender's dope Li."
I frowned. "Really?"
"Yeah....as long as we wear another color with it, it's straight." I nodded slowly. "Okay, well Im not finished looking, but Im glad you agree, it's one of my options still."
He slightly nodded. "..Ight."
"You okay?" I asked, looking at him a little bit more. "I could tell last night over the phone something was bothering you....I know you said you're okay, but are you sure you're good?"
He nodded his head, taking off down the street, once the light turned green. "Im good."
He quickly looked over at me and smiled. "...Okay, well do you still want me to come over after school today?"
He scratched the back of his head, as if he was thinking. "..Yeah, I do." He turned into the student parking lot, finding a space to park in.
I unbuckled my seatbelt, pulling my bag and books out of the backseat. I stepped out of his truck, waiting for him to get his things.
I placed my bag on my shoulder and smiled once I seen Chris, Brittany and Will walking over to us.
"Hey y'all." I smiled, closing the car door. "Hey Li." I gave Brittany a slight hug, and looked over at Will and Chris. "Hey."
"Sup Li." Will gave me a head nod, and so did Chris.
"...Ight well Im goin inside, I'll see y'all later." Will gave me a slight hug, before dapping up Chris, and walking away.
I frowned a little to myself, wondering why him and Marcus didn't speak to each other.
"What's wrong with him?" I asked, looking between everybody.
Brittany shrugged. "I don't know, he's been in this weird mood since this morning, I tried talking to him, but he won't tell me anything."
"Oh." I mumbled.
"Do you know what's wrong with Will?" I asked, turning to Marcus. He scratched the back of his head, clearing his throat.
"Ion know."
I turned to my left and looked over at Chris. "Do you know?" He paused for a second before shaking his head. ".....Nah...Ion know either."
"Well maybe y'all should talk to him, just to see why he's actin like that."
"Yeah." Marcus started. "We will."
I opened my mouth to speak, but the sound of Tyree's voice stopped me. "Marcus." We all turned our attention to Tyree, who was standing behind Marcus and I.
"...Oh, wassup Tyree."
He gave everybody a head nod, and slightly smiled at me. "Hey Li."
I let out a small smile, stepping closer to Marcus. "....Hey."
He turned his attention back to Marcus, taking a deep breath. "..Can I talk to you for a minute?"
He nodded his head yes, stepping away from me. "I'll be right back." I nodded, watching him and Tyree walk away together.
