Aliyah P.O.V.

"Morning Li-Li." I took my place at the table, not really in the mood to sit here and eat this morning. "Mornin." I mumbled.

Mama sat my plate of food down infront of me and turned back to the stove. "How'd you sleep?"

I slightly frowned, as I picked up my fork. "Fine...?"

"That's good." She said lowly. "Where's AJ? Did he get up yet?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know."

"....Okay....well your father should be down in a minute, but before he comes down here, I wanted to talk to you about something."

I rolled my eyes, not wanting to even talk to her right now. "About what?"

"You know Auntee Kerri's baby shower is this weekend, and they're revealing the sex of the baby, so I just wanted to make sure you were still coming with me."

I softly sighed, stuffing some eggs into my mouth. "Uh huh, Im still coming."

She sat daddy's plate on the table, and took her seat beside me. "Great, I still haven't went out and bought her anything, so I was thinking maybe you could help me pick out something after school today."

I shook my head. "I have plans after school." I lied.

"Oh, what are you doing??"

"Marissa and I are doing some girl stuff, and I don't know what time we'll be back." She nodded slowly.

"Oh okay then baby....I'll just go by myself."

I took a sip from my orange juice feeling slightly annoyed. Even though Marissa and I didn't have any plans, I didn't wanna go shopping for no baby present. These past few days, everything that came out of mama's mouth was baby related, and it was starting to get on my damn nerves.

I just needed a break from all the baby talk, and most importantly her.

"Morning ma, morning babygirl." I smiled once I heard daddy's voice behind me. I turned my head and held out my arms so he could give me a hug.

"Morning daddy." He walked over to me and gave me a quick hug and kiss, before kissing mama, taking his seat at the table.

"How y'all doin this morning?"

"Im good." I said picking at my food.

He picked up his fork, and was just about to start eating, when he froze in place. I looked up at him and frowned, wondering what he was staring at.

"You okay daddy?"

He sat down his fork, looking me up and down. "What you did to your hair??" I chuckled.

"I got it dyed yesterday, do you like it?" I asked, flipping my hair over my shoulder.

"It's remindin me of a smurf, but it looks good on you babygirl....you wearin weave now?"

I laughed. "I've been wearing extensions daddy, there only a little longer than my last one's."

He sighed, shaking his head. "Ight whatever, ion understand it, but if you like it, then I love it."

"Well Im not sure that I like it yet." Mama added, scooting her chair in. "It's a very big change."

I slightly rolled my eyes, not caring about her opinion. I wasn't even talking to her, so I wasn't sure why she felt the need to put her two cents in.

"And it's also my hair, and I wanted something different." She frowned a little. "I never said it wasn't your hair, I just said it was a big change."
