Chapter 35

Aliyah P.O.V.

"Call me when you land, and don't forget to let us know what hotel your staying in." I walked into the kitchen, passing mama and AJ, who were standing at the bottom of the staircase, as he got ready to leave.

I grabbed a glass out of the cabinet and pulled open the frigde, grabbing the carton of orange juice.

"August! Hurry up! He's about to leave!" Mama yelled through the house. I filled my cup up with juice and left the kitchen, walking back over to the stairs.

I went up the first two steps, trying to get back to my room, when mama called me back. "Li-Li."

I softly sighed, turning around. "Yeah?" I took a sip of my juice, waiting for her to speak.

"Your not gunna say bye to your brother?"

I sighed, stepping back down the two steps I had just stepped up on. AJ pulled his bag up on his back and pushed his shades closer to his face.

"Bye loser." I wrapped my free arm around him, giving him hug. "Bye Ugly." He said, hugging me back.

Mama smacked her lips, shaking her head. "Y'all can't ever be nice to each other."

I could hear daddy's footstep's coming down the stairs, causing me to turn around.

"Ight, have fun my nigga." Daddy said, holding his hand out, as he stepped down the last step.

They gave each other dap, causing mama to frown.

"Be safe."

He pulled him into a half hug and patted him on the back.

"I will."

"You need any money?" Daddy asked, reaching his hand into his pocket.

"Nah Im good, I got enough." He lifted a brow. "You sure you got enough??" AJ chuckled.

"Yeah Im sure pops."

"Like you sure, sure?" He nodded. "I got enough."

He leaned over to his ear, so mama and I couldn't hear. "You got the one's for the strippers?" He whispered.

I rolled my eyes, slightly disgusted. AJ smiled widely, nodding, knowing better to speak since mama was standing right there.

"Ight, your all set then." Daddy said outloud.

"Okay, go ahead and get going baby, I don't want you missing your flight." She hugged him again, and started to fix the clothes he was wearing.

"Mama." He groaned.

"Okay, okay, Im sorry. Have a good time alright?" AJ nodded, giving mama a kiss on the cheek.

"Ight y'all, holla at a playa." I slightly chuckled, watching him leave out the house.

Once he was gone, I took a deep breath and made my way back upstairs. I sat down on my bed, grabbing my phone off the nightstand.

I was just about to unlock the screen, when my phone rang in my hands.I slightly smiled once I seen Cordarius calling me. I layed back in the bed and answered the phone.

ME: "Hello?"

CORDARIUS: "Wassup Li?"

ME: "Not much....why you calling me so early?"

He chuckled.

CORDARIUS: "I ain't know 11:30 was early."

I smirked.
