Ene sighed, not realizing beforehand how hard this would be.
"Konoha, look. We need to break-up, I'm sorry. I just..." She trailed off for a moment, feeling tears well up. She breathed in and began speaking again. "I wasn't in love with you. I was in love with the idea of you. It's hard dating you when you don't even have your memories back, and you can't remember all the adventures we went on together...." She felt hot tears run down her face as she put a hand over her mouth.
"So.. no more eating sushi together?" He asked, narrowing his eyebrows sadly. "I'm sorry, Konoha." Ene said as she left her friend. She walked out of the apartment and got into her car, she sat there for a few moments before sobbing loudly into the steering wheel.
That's when she got the text.
little angry bottom: HEY, I KNOW WE DON'T REALLY TALK MUCH BUT WITH VRISKA GOING INSANE AND SHIT I WAS WONDERING IF YOU WANTED TO GET LUNCH OR SOMETHING. NOT LIKE YOU'D BE MY FIRST CHOICE, BLEGH. NO WAY. IT'S JUST THAT DAVE AND JOHN ARE PROBABLY BUSY MAKING OUT SO I DON'T HAVE ANYONE ELSE TO HANG OUT WITH OTHER THAN THAT STUPID CATGIRL.
You: soo.. you wanna get lunch with me?
little angry bottom: NOT WANT, I JUST HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS.
You: alright, where ya thinkin?
Ene wiped the tears from her eyes as she read Karkat's replies. He practically sends me paragraphs. She smiled. Maybe this won't be too bad.
Back in Canada
"OH MY GOD I AM SO SORRY!" Shintaro said, running over to see John laying in Dave's arms. "Yeah dude sorry, thought you were that Jake bastard. He keeps hitting on me, it's fuckin' annoying." Kano said, juggling a rock.
"Yeah that's fair, he is my cousin after all." John said, rubbing his head. Dave loosened his hold on the shorter teenager. "Jake is your cousin?" He lifted an eyebrow. "Yeah? Jade and Jake are both my cousins." Dave let go of John, secretly upset he didn't tell him this information sooner.
"Whatever, let's focus on the mission." The blonde boy said, standing up and walking towards the house with John. Kano and Shintaro annoyingly tagged along. "What are you guys doing?" Kano asked.
"We're goin to warn Vriska about Seto going insane and trying to murder her!" John said, probably a little too excitedly. Dave chuckled slightly at John's smile. Cute.Wait, no. Not cute. Nope. Focus, Dave. Focus!
"Yeah we're going to talk to Vris." He said awkwardly. Kano and Shintaro did not take the hint and continued walking beside him.
This is gonna be a long afternoon.
Meanwhile, in Canada.
Seto picked up his phone and dialed the number. "We have much to talk about, Konoha."
