Boooooringgggggg

That's all John could think. He was so freaking bored! His dad was out buying that stupid betty crocker cake mix, and he was left sitting on a bench in the middle of Kroger.

That's when he saw him and his 'new friend' senses started tingling.

He was sitting on a table in the Starbucks, by himself and on his phone. He had blonde fluffy hair and dark skin with pale patches. He was wearing a shirt with a broken disc on it and he was REALLY pretty. Can boys think other boys are pretty? He thought. We will deal with this at a later date! He thought again.

Because John was an idiot and still is-

"Hey!" He shouted during the present day.

"Shhh let me finish." She interrupted him.

Anyways

Because John was an idiot and still is, he sat down on the Starbucks table the other kid was sitting at. "Hi! I'm John." He smiled. The boy looked up from his phone. "I-I'm Dave." He stuttered, a bit taken aback.

"So what are you doing here, Dave?" John smiled. "See that gross guy flirting with the cashier?" He pointed to a guy with a short bead, a baseball cap, and sunglasses flirting with an OBVIOUSLY uncomfortable barista. John nodded. "That's my dad. He's ironically named Bro." Dave slurped a bit of his tea.

"No offense but your dad looks like a jerk." John frowned. "I did call him gross, didn't i?" He smiled, making John laugh. "JUUUNEEE C'MON WE GOTTA GO!" John cringed at that name. "That's my dad, I have to go. Do you have pesterchum?" John asked, getting out of his seat.

"Yeah my username is turntec_godhead." Dave said. "I'll message you when I get home! Bye Dave!" John waved as he walked away. "Bye John." Dave said. John smiled at being called the correct name.

April 20th, 2017

John was still shook up from the week before, so he was really relieved to hear that Dave wanted to test out the new voice chat feature on Pesterchum. John called Dave and Dave immediately picked up.

"Hey." Dave said, his voice was a lot deeper than he remembered. "Hey!" John smiled. The call was silent for a few minutes. "So last week happened." John awkwardly broke the silence.

"Yeah, that was fun." Dave said sarcastically. "I'm glad you're okay." His voice sounded softer than usual. For a 'cool dude that doesn't care', he really does worry about John a lot.

"Yeah, I'm glad you're okay too. I love you." John said, he didn't really think about what he was saying. "..What?" Dave was a bit shocked. "Hmm? I said I love you and I'm glad you're okay." He reiterated. "Oh." Dave looked down, he felt tears well up at the corners of his eyes.

No ones really said that to him before.

"That's gay." Dave joked, secretly being really happy this was only a voice chat.

April 13th, 2021 (present day)

It had officially been a month since John left.

Dave tried to get out of bed, but he couldn't. The bed was comfortable, and if he focused hard enough it felt like John's dumb blue sweater. He rolled over and went back to sleep.

"This is coming along surprisingly well!" Rose remarked, looking at the Minecraft game in front of her. "Marry you are the best." Dirk hugged her. "It's no problem, I do like making Minecraft structures." Marry smiled and hugged him back.

"How long do you think it'll take to finish it?" Rose asked. "Probably only 3 more hours. Then I'm done." Marry answered, sitting down on the couch and grabbing the Xbox remote.

4 hours later

"Dave! We got pizza!" Dirk yelled. That was all it took to get Dave out of his depression cave. "Where?" Dave ran out and looked for pizza. "There is no pizza." Dirk admitted. "Awe bogus. I'm going back to my room." Dave started walking back before Rose grabbed his shoulder.

"Look." Rose pointed to the Xbox. "Wha?" Dave walked towards it and sat down on the couch. Marry handed him the remote. "Is this-" "Yep." Rose smiled. It was a Minecraft recreation of John's room.

Dave walked around in the game, looking at everything. "This is... so cool." Dave smiled and walked around the room. It wasn't a lot, but it did get Dave out of his room and make him smile.

"Thank you so much." Dave hugged Marry. "It's no problem, little one." Marry smiled and hugged him back. "I have to go now, Seto needs help with a lawsuit." Marry stood up. "Is it the lawsuit?" Dave asked. "Yes, it is the lawsuit." Marry giggled.

She opened the front door and waved everyone goodbye.

I'll be okay.

Dave thought.
