Chapter 48

All the boys had gathered around the meeting room, curious of what was going on.

"I think you should start. This is going to be long." Taeyong said.

Yumin nodded.

"We have been staying here with you for quite a while now, and I think that you should know what we really are."

The words caught the crowd's attention making them sit straight on their chairs.

"We were already in a gang before joining here."

Half of them looked suprised and the other half remained quiet.

"Who did you work for?" Chenle asked.

"So you are telling me that my cousins were working for a gang all along, without me knowing." Jungwoo furrowed his eyebrows.

"Well not 'work for' but leading the gang. Mostly Mieun. We used to work with them. The reason for us forming the gang is the same as NCT's."

"But how come we never heard about any of you?" Ten asked, to which a few others agreed.

"We used other name, I used Y, Surin used Ri, Jieun-Jane. And well all of you already have heard but X sisters."

"How are they related in this? They died." Kun spoke.

"Not both the sisters, we made it look like that, so that Miyeon is out of suspicion. If they Shark Blade knew that one of them would be alive, they would come for her again. So what I mean, if you didn't get it, is Mieun unnie is Xe, the one who did. Miyeon is Xin, she actually made it out alive that day." Surin said.

Everyone in the room, other that Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung and Mark had their eyes wide open. Mouths hanging open in a few cases as well.

Surin noticed unspoken emotions reflect in Jungwoo's face. He was frozen, hands clutched.

Yumin turned to Taeyong but thinking what she was going to speak next, she couldn't keep eye contact with the older.

"We still have another part of this story left. It's new to both me and Surin too. Miyeon has no idea about this either."

"Well today, I went back to our old base with Mark and found this Diary." Surin placed the diary on the table. All the eyes fell on it. "Reading this we actually discovered something really bad. All our work for protecting Miyeon from Shark Blade had actually gone in vain even before we began the plan."

"Mind explaining in simple language." Lucas butted in.

Yumin sighed before beginning, "Pawn, Shark Blade had placed a pawn with us for years and we failed to notice. The only person who noticed it was Mieun, which resulted her in getting killed."

"And the pawn they placed was none other than Jieun." Surin completed.

"Jieun?!" All of them looked like they saw a ghost.

Seeing that none of the girls were will to continue, Taeyong dismissed the group. The boys looked at the two girls in concern. They could guess how much pain they were going through, calling one of their closest members a traitor was quite painful. It really hits hard in the heart.

Saying Jungwoo was angry and sad was an understatement, knowing that he lived under the same roof with his older cousin's murderer.
Lucas tried comforting the boy.
