Chapter 25

"Hey Miyeon you okay?" Yangyang asked entering the medical room.

Winwin had pulled the bullet out and dressed her hand.

"Yeah but it does hurt a little." She smiled through the pain.

"You know what Miyeon, you should have stayed away from us."

"As much as I want to faith won't let me. I'm probably faithed to be here, in all this shit." Miyeon said bitterly.

"What do you mean?"

"You all will get to know, once the right time comes."

"Okay then we'll wait." Yangyang said with a sigh unable to understand the meaning behind her deep words.

Miyeon gave her friend a soft smile.

After waiting in the medical room for sometime more, Winwin had let her go.
Miyeon walked inside the living room. Some of the 127 members were in there along with Yumin.

"Hey Miyeon is your hand okay?" The elder girl asked.

"Yes unnie. But how is Surin unnie?"

"Jungwoo is still checking her."

Miyeon nodded and went out of the room to go to the kitchen. She found Jeno, Jaemin and Renjun there.

"Hey, Jaemin how is your leg?" She asked.

"It's fine. Chenle said it will heal."

"Oh that's good

"What about your hand? Does it hurt?"

"Yeah it does stings a little, Winwin gave me painkillers."

"We all know how important this mission is for us. Let's give our maximum." Mieun said as the five girls gathered in the basement.

"Remember to call each other using the code name." Yumin said.

"Surin go to the hacking room. We four will head out." Mieun ordered.

The three girls followed Mieun inside the van as they drove away to the destination.

"Jane go to northern gate, route is clear." Surin told Jieun through the earpiece.

The elder made her way toward the gate.

"Y to Southern, Xin to Eastern and Xe to Western."

The three girls advanced. Passing the Eastern gate, Miyeon went inside the building. It was huge.

As Surin kept on instructing, Miyeon made her way up. Unusually there weren't much guards.

"Xe, Y, Jane do you all find guards on your way." She asked through the earpiece.

"No, this is very unusual." Her sister agreed.

Miyeon found her way to the file room.
Breaking the code she entered, only to find a bunch of files in there.

"Ri you said the room only has that file but here are a bunch."

"Xin look for the file there, and move out fast, it's some sort of a trap. You three hurry up and reach where Xin is."

Miyeon started looking for the files. Rummaging through the piles she fastened her pace.

"Xin someone is coming towards you." Surin said.

"Fuck" the younger cursed under her breath. She kept on rummaging.

"Looking for this dear." A manly voice startled her.

On reflex, her hand went to grab the gun in her pocket as she turned around.

A tall man stood there with a file in her hand. The file that contained the reason for her and many other innocent children's parent's death.

Miyeon lunged forward. He predicted her move and moved out of the way. Guards from behind attacking back at her.

Even before the others could provide backup for the youngest, she was already involved in a bloody mess.

They clearly outnumbered her. With one hand she kept on shooting and the other was busy slicing through the ones attacking her.

Mieun, Jieun and Yumin arrived to see the youngest struggling. They joined in the fight. They tried their best to fight but the opponents had outnumbered them.

Amidst all this Miyeon didn't fail to notice the man sneaking out with the file.

She quickly shot the men around her and followed him. He went inside the basement.

She heard Surin screaming her name, asking her to come back. But the girl was blinded by emotions, she wanted the files.

Inside the basement, the man was already waiting for her and as she arrived guards came out. The girl tried her best to fight them, bother stamina had started running low, energy drained with all the fights and running stairs.

The guards knocked her head on the wall. Some holding her, as another smiled in victory. The trigger was pulled, Miyeon squished her eyes shut, ready to fill the pain.

But she felt nothing. The men holding her let go she saw her sister there holding a gun, blood running down the head of the man.

The infamous X sisters fought the men killing them as they came across their path. Everything was going good until they heard a click and the basement door locked. Black smoke stared filling the room, making them unable to see through. Gunshot were heard followed by the two sisters screams. Miyeon got shot in her leg and shoulder but Mieun in heart.

Miyeon jolted up from her bed, panting. Tears rolling down her cheeks. She was in a wrecked condition.

She got out of the bed and went to the bathroom. Splashing water on her face, she tried to cool herself down.

It was 3 in the morning and Miyeon clearly had no plans to go back to sleep. She walked out of the room and tip toed down to the kitchen.

Grabbing a glass she filled it with water. After drinks two full glasses, Miyeon kept it in the sink.

"Why are you awake this late?"

She jumped as she heard the voice. Turning she saw Renjun standing by the door.

"I could ask you the same!"

Renjunshrugged and walked towards her. He grabbed a glass for himself and filled it up.

"Uh.. well thank you."

"For what?" Miyeon furrowed her eyebrows.

"Well saving my life earlier. I had let my guards down a little. And also sorry that you got shot."

"It's fine. We are a team, and I don't want to lose some one again."

"Again?"

Miyeon nodded and quickly walked out of the room not wanting him to ask more about her past.
