After playing the beautiful classical piece, Lena walked over to her and sat next to her on the stool. "You should play more often...It was beautiful." Lena said, with adoration in her voice, while leaning her head onto Kara's shoulder. "You think so?" Kara asked, playing a few peaceful chords on the wing. The beautiful woman next to her just hummed in agreement. "You looked at peace, which I must confess is a very rare side of you to see. While playing...I was able to hear how you felt. And let's not forget how utterly charming you looked." Lena said those words, with so much feelings behind them, and that's when Kara knew, that perhaps she isn't the only one...Having these mysterious feelings, probably called love...
They looked at each other, trying to read their eyes, searching for a particular thing that would give them all the answers. Without even knowing, they slowly inched closer and closer, their lips only needing a few inches...Kara could have sworn that for a brief moment, Lena glanced down to her lips. But she has to confess, that she had done the same thing few seconds ago. It was only a little gap that needed to be closed, so their lips would be on each others. Just when Kara was about to lean in, her phone started to chime, causing both to jump and look away from each other. 'If the inventor of mobile phones is in Hell, he or she would have a terrifying talk with me.' Kara cursed in her head, absolutely hating these technological advances. She glanced at the caller ID, seeing that it was her sister. "What is it Alex?" Kara answered, sounding rather pissed off for being interrupted. "Not how I expected for you to answer." Alex said through the line, trying to annoy Kara even more. Well, isn't that sibling love? Kara rolled her eyes in annoyance, while Lena couldn't help but chuckle. "This is no time for jokes Alex." Hissed the Devil, her tone showing 'You interrupted something, idiot'. Alex kind of felt bad, but had to call Kara, since what she was going to say is quite important. "Kara, I found a clue to what she might be doing." Kara shot a worried look to Lena, causing the Luthor to be concerned. "Alright, send me your location. I'll be there." Kara answered, before ending the call.
"Is everything alright?" Lena asked worried, gently grabbing Kara's bicep, a sign that Lena was worried about Kara, which absolutely made Kara's heart flutter. The Devil sighed, not wanting to lie to the Luthor. "Not really. Lately a problem occurred and I have to stop it fast as possible. Alex found a clue, that could probably lead us to a source. That's why I have to go and investigate what she found." Kara explained, trying to say as much of the truth, but for Lena's safety she wasn't going to fully tell what was going on. Lena's eyes were filled with worry and understating, which made Kara glad, since she thought Lena would be upset about her of ending their evening so early. "It's okay, you go solve the problem. I have to anyway go home, since I'll have an important meeting with a few investors tomorrow morning." Lena gently cupped Kara's face, making the Devil smile. "Okay then, do you have your car here?" Kara asked, because she will definitely not let Lena be driven by her driver, who is probably tired. "Actually not, I came here via Uber." She answered, causing Kara to nod. "I have to hurry, but is it okay if Maggie drives you home? That's the least I could do." Kara offered, which Lena happily agreed to. With a snap of her fingers, Maggie came out from one of the nearby rooms. "What can I do boss?" The demon asked, wondering what Kara needed now. "Can you drive Lena home? I can't, because Alex needs me." Explained Kara, and since Maggie can't really say no to her master's orders, she had no other choice but to oblige. "I can do that. Come on Miss Luthor." Maggie said, while Lena just furrowed her brows, wondering how Maggie just appeared out of nowhere, with a snap of Kara's fingers. A few seconds later, she was freed from her thoughts and looked towards Maggie. "Oh, please call me Lena." Lena gave Maggie a welcoming smile, which the demon happily returned. Before the Luthor left, she gave a kiss on Kara's cheek, causing Kara to blush. "Be careful." Whispered Lena, before following Maggie.
Kara just stood in the middle of her living room, feeling the heat rise from her cheeks to her ears. Then she shook her head, knowing it wasn't time to think about feelings. Grabbing her lovely car keys and with a snap of her fingers, she was in her vintage Mercedes. Before she started the engine, she texted Lena to text her when she arrived home safely...Kind of knowing that Maggie is quite reckless when driving. Okay, the other demons are even worse, so Maggie is actually the safest choice. Without further ado, she started the engine and made her way to Alex's location.
The drive wasn't long as expected. It would have taken an hour, if Kara didn't drive through a few red lights. The location was more likely in a small, dead town, that's a few kilometers outside of National City. To be honest it was quite dark, and not a single human soul was in sight. Kara parked her car in front of the building Alex was in. It looked abandoned, since multiple windows were shattered and the wood wasn't in it's best shape. She stepped out of her car, entering the building. Right in the middle of the ground floor was Alex, with multiple demons, which were in their human form, looking through every drawer or cabinets, searching for any other clue. "So what's the lead Alex?" Kara asked, as she approached her sister. "Kara, glad you could make it." Teased Alex, causing Kara to think about her life choices. "Seriously, what did you find?" Kara asked once again, quite annoyed of Alex's teasing, but she knew that's how Alex showed her love. It wasn't the best, but better than nothing. "Oh right." Alex led Kara to a room, which was quite well hidden. "One of the demons were roaming around here, and found this while lurking through the shadows." She turned on the lights, the room was filled with papers and a wall with dots and pictures, showing a few targets. Then she looked onto the ground, seeing a black feather, which was definitely not from a bird on Earth. Around the feather were symbols that Kara knew all too well. "She was trying to summon mother." Kara whispered, touching the symbols. Alex nodded, looking at the symbol her sister was touching. "She failed. The demon described, that there was no magic to be seen nor be felt. Seems like your spell on her, was able to block her powers to a limit, which was definitely not enough." Alex described, but Kara's eyes were transfixed on the wall, filled with targets. "That's a relief to hear. Last time when she summoned mother, almost caused the destruction of both Hell and Heaven, which would have definitely been followed by Earth." Kara was able to release a breath, she herself didn't know she was holding. She then observed the wall, to find one picture missing, and by knowing the person, whoever was on the picture was her next target. "Gather all the files and send them to my study. And most importantly, destroy the symbols." Kara ordered her demons, who followed immediately.
"What are we going to do now?" Alex asked, while they walked out of the room. "What we have is enough for now. If we look through the files, we might be able to find out what she is planning." The Devil answered immediately, and the angel seemed to have agreed with her plan. "So more paperwork and rummaging through files." Alex said with frustration, definitely not looking forward to that. Even Kara herself is not fond of paperwork and looking through boring files. "Oh shush, you have no idea how many times I had to do that." Kara stated the fact, and Alex knew she could not win on this one. Together they walked out of the abandoned building, entering Kara's Mercedes. Before the Devil started to drive, she just got a text. Taking out her phone, she couldn't help but smile, at least it's good to hear that Lena arrived safely home. "You are so whipped for her." Alex commented, getting a glare from Kara. After a little bit of bickering to each other about their love lives and crushes, they finally made their way on the road...
Unknown location
The jail cells were rather empty, only the steps of a certain person could be heard. It was dark, the only source of light was the last cell on the end of the hallways, looking highly guarded...Well looked highly guarded. The person now stood in front of the cell door, breaking it with her bare hands. It was rather frustrating breaking it, since her powers were limited. Without hesitation, she entered the jail cell, seeing a particular person sitting on their chair. "Hello Lex Luthor..." The voice said, her evil smirk hearable by her tone. Lex sat there, wondering how the Hell this woman entered the prison. "Who are you?" Lex asked, showing no fear in his voice, but probably deep down. "It isn't the first time we have met." The mysterious person said, walking towards Lex, making her whole face visible...The Luthor knew that he has seen that face somewhere, but just can't remember it. "Could be, but I'd like to know your name." He answered, not showing a single sign that he will waver. The person just chuckled evilly, knowing they would get along just fine. "I'm Linda Demiurgos." Her smirk never left her face, as she saw Lex Luthor's shocked face, as he had come to realization. "And I believe you are not the only one who wants to play a wicked game..."
