The next day

This should be a happy day...Finally, her brother would be gone. Finally she wouldn't have to worry about the safety of the world. Finally, there would be a step to peace...But why could she feel something terrible is going to happen?

It was early in the morning, Lena was sitting on her couch, drinking a glass of scotch, while getting lost in her thoughts. Her mind kept on racing, with things that don't make any sense. Lately, she was having dreams that we're a little too extreme...None of them would add up. In one there is a clear picture of Hell on Earth. The other a horned creature, casting a shadow over the whole universe. The other showing a bright lights, looking like it was Heaven...What do these dreams mean?

Lena continued to look into the distance, the glass in her hand completely forgotten. But her thoughts were cut off, when Sam came into the leaving room, looking tired as ever. "I sensed someone sitting in the living room, overthinking about their whole life." The Arias joked, causing the Luthor to look towards her direction. "Overthinking is an underestimated factor, to what is going through my mind now." Lena muttered, chugging the amber liquid down in one go. Sam took a seat next to Lena, wrapping her blanket around herself. "What's going on with you lately? I thought you would be ecstatic when Lex got the penalty he deserved?" Sam's voice was laced with worry, as she took a closer look into her best friend's body language...Her shoulders were tense, her body not relaxed, her skin paler than usual...Something was definitely wrong. "I'm glad Lex is getting the punishment he deserves, but wherever a problem is solved, a new one comes." Lena answered, not wanting to bring Sam in her problems, so she's just trying to keep everything in the surface. Sam furrowed her brows together, she knew there was something Lena doesn't want to mention, but whatever it is, it was eating her up.

A little silence casted between the duo, Lena wanting to avoid the conversation, while Sam thinking of any possibility as to why Lena was suddenly shut down. "It's Kara, isn't it?" Sam went straight to the point, and Lena felt this little rush of adrenaline go through her veins, just by the mention of that name. The Luthor gulped, wanting to take a sip from her glass, until she noticed it was empty. Sam knew she hit a spot, and waited patiently for Lena to talk. Knowing she can't avoid the conversation anymore, Lena sighed deeply, looking into the empty glass. "Yes...The most has something to do with her." The Luthor confessed, feeling an arm wrap around her shoulder. "What's disturbing you so much?" The Arias asked, wrapping the blanket around them, trying to bring some comfort into the now heavy aura. "I-I can't really talk with you about it, because it's something she and I need to fix, something really personal...But all I can say, there are more little dark secrets, behind the secrets." Lena simply answered, making Sam wonder what her best friend was even saying. "I must say, Kara is very charming, but has a very mysterious persona." The Arias stated the fact, and the Luthor had to laugh internally at how accurate that is. "If you only knew..." Whispered Lena inaudible, to which Sam didn't hear at all. "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it...Just make sure you get it fixed soon, because I can see it's eating you up Lena." Sam said sincerely, as she stood up, gave Lena a kiss on the forehead and made her way into the guest room, leaving Lena once again to dwell into her thoughts.

Seeing that completely sitting around, thinking about those dreams, thoughts and whatever secrets, wouldn't bring Lena anywhere, she stood up from the couch, walked towards the kitchen to pour herself another glass of scotch and pulled out her phone. The Luthor hesitated if she should really call, but she needed answers and probably whatever was happening, even Kara herself might not know. So taking a deep breath, she dialed the number. After a few rings, the person finally picked up the phone. "Miss Luthor, to what can I help you with at such an early hour?" The voice kindly asked, still seemingly to be tired. "Sorry for disturbing you Miss Olsen, but I will need your help in some things." Lena answered, hearing a hum of approval from the other end. "Okay, I will send you a message when I'm coming over." Kelly stated, as she tried to muffle a yawn. "Thank you, see you later." The Luthor replied, satisfied with the arrangement she and Kelly made. "See you later." The Olsen said, before hanging up.
