The car ride was agonizingly long. The panic and worry in her mind kept on growing and growing...Being alone wasn't good for her, because her thoughts were consuming her. The car came to a stop on a red light, making her groan in annoyance. "Stupid light. There are places I need to be." She muttered in frustration, tapping the steering wheel out of nervousness. Still waiting for the light to turn green, her phone started to chime. Without a second thought, she picked it up, upon seeing who is calling. "Alex? Have you found anything about Kara?" Lena blurted out, not giving the angel the chance to utter a word. Only a tired sigh could be heard through the phone. "No, nothing. But we called a friend, who can...How should I say this? Ah, who can read rooms. That's the best I can explain." Alex stated, trying her best to explain Lena about the whole situation right now.The light turned green and Lena's car finally made a move. "Okay, makes me question a few things but that's not important. What did your friend find?" Lena asked, only hearing a short while of silence on the other end. "It's better to explain it to you when you are here...You might want to hear this personally." Uttered the angel, only making the Luthor hit her gas pedal harder. "Will be there in five of minutes." Lena answered, hanging up before Alex could even say bye.
Indeed after five minutes, Lena arrived in front of Kara's club, which was surprisingly...empty. Usually the place was packed every night with people dancing, while music blasted so hard it could be heard through the whole street. She got out of her car, not caring how horribly she actually parked, might earn her a ticket, and made her way into the building. As she made her way towards the elevator leading to Kara's penthouse, Lena noticed how different demons were literally ripping the whole place apart in search for their master. "Little Luthor!" Came a voice from the other room, probably the bar. The Luthor turned towards the voice, seeing Maggie sitting on a stool while casually drinking a bottle of beer...Maggie is definitely the definition of 'calm in the storm'.
Lena made her way to Maggie, raising a questioning brow, as to why the demon was so calm about this whole dangerous situation. "Evening Maggie...How in the actual Hell are you so calm?" Lena asked directly, causing Maggie to chuckle. The demon took a sip from her beer, before answering: "Lena, I'm worried to Heaven's about Kara. But at least someone of us needs to be calm or we would literally, and by literally, I mean ripping the whole Earth apart." The Luthor's brows raised in understanding after hearing that quite important point. "Anyway, I was sent here down by Alex to get you, so we better get going before she calls her own father...Which I hope not." The demon joked at the end of her sentence, followed by an awkward chuckle herself...So maybe not so a joke after all? Probably or probably not...
Both made their way to the Devil's known penthouse. The elevator went up in a couple of seconds and as soon the doors opened, Lena was met by a nervous looking Alex and another person who was probably speaking in a non existent language, while roaming the whole place with a candle. "You made it." Sighed the angel in absolute relief, giving the Luthor a tight hug. Lena was surprised by the sudden gesture, but didn't put too much in mind about it and hugged Alex back. "Damn, you guys are hugging as if you were sister-in-law's." Commented Maggie, causing Lena's heart rate to suddenly spike up. They broke the hug and Alex smacked her girlfriend's arm, hearing a dramatic gasp from Maggie. "Oh hush, that wasn't even hard." The angel stated, causing the demon to pout dramatically again.
"So what did you guys find?" Lena asked a little impatiently, getting the angel and demon's attention. Both gave a quick glance to each other, kind of having a silent conversation. A few seconds later, Alex sighed, her look very serious. "Our friend here..." Alex pointed towards the young woman, who was now walking towards them. "Will give you the answer." Right on time, the young woman was with the group. "I'm Nia Nal, the head of witches in Hell. If I'm correct, you must be Lena Luthor, right?" Nia introduced herself, giving her hand to shake, which Lena gladly took. "Nice to meet you Nia. And yes, I'm Lena." The Luthor answered, getting a nod from the witch. "So what happened?" Lena asked, going straight to the point. Nia and everyone in the room took a deep breath, kind of not ready to hear what truly happened.
