Evil ways

Lena loaded herself with paperwork, denying every interview the media wanted and cancelled all meetings, just not wanting to have human contact right now. "You should still eat." Maggie appeared from literally nowhere. Once again, it startled the CEO and made her nearly fall from her chair. "Maggie, I swear to God!" Lena yelled, which caused Maggie to roll her eyes, especially at the dramatic statement. "Yeah, I don't swear to him." Maggie simply answered, taking a seat on the sofa. "How the fucking Hell do you just suddenly appear out of thin air?" Lena asked, starting ti question the laws pf physic once more, and now Maggie liked the statement. The demon just smiled sheepishly and shrugged her shoulders, not wanting to give away the answer. "Magic." Is all she simply said, taking her phone out to just distract herself. "Yeah, I'm starting to believe that." The CEO whispered under her breath, which Maggie did not hear. Silence creeped in the office, both women engraved in their work, until Maggie's phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, the demon had to smile...I guess we know who it is...

"Hey." Maggie greeted into the phone, but the silence and deep breathing from the other line made her worry. "Alex?" The demon asked again, and the worry caught Lena's full attention. The other line was still silent for a time, both women's worry growing and growing by each passing second. "Sorry, I had bad service." Alex finally answered, which made Maggie finally sigh in relief. "You scared the shit out of me." Maggie replied, rather irritated. Lena as well sighed in relief upon hearing that Kara's sister had answered. "What's going on in Rome?" Maggie asked, taking a can of coke from the mini fridge in the office...Seriously, this demon is making herself way too comfortable. 

From the other line, Alex took a deep sigh. "Kara is furious." Is all the angel said, and Maggie's eyes shoot open, which the CEO noticed. "What? Why?" The demon blurted out the questions, wanting to know the reasons quick. "The Pope and priests were responsible for Linda's release. They told Kara, that they contacted a demon, named Zinadal, ordering him to release her and in return gets a way to Heaven...Which they have 100% not granted." The angel explained and now Maggie could understand her master's sudden anger. "Why do humans have to be so stupid?" Maggie asked herself, which caused Lena to chuckle. "Do you think it would calm her down to talk with Lena?" Maggie asked, seeing how the CEO started to blush...Sweet Hades, she's clearly head over heels for the Devil. "No, not yet...I have this feeling she would need her anger." Alex simply answered, which Maggie had to agree to. "Okay, both of you please take care." The demon said sweetly, which got a teasing look from Lena. The look 'irritated' the demon and mouthed a 'Shut up', of course Lena had to chuckle to that. 

"We will, but please take care...I just have this gut feeling, that something terrible is going to happen." The angel said, with worry evident inner voice and by knowing Alex, Maggie knew that Alex was right...I guess gut feelings are guardian angels. "We will." Maggie simply answered, before ending the call.

Lena took a deep breath and rubbed her forehead. "Are they both okay?" Lena asked, leaning back onto her chair. Maggie gave a soft smile, which did not reach from ear to ear. "Yeah, but Kara is royally pissed off." The demon answered, sipping on her can of coke. "I could imagine." Lena answered, but then...Her mind suddenly started to wonder about her brother. Until now, the FBI, NCPD and the CIA couldn't find a single clue to where her brother had gone. "Mags." Lena said, trying to get the demons attention. Maggie raised a brow, indicating that her full attention is on Lena. Racking her genius brain a little, thinking the way Lex would just think, an idea popped into her head. "I think I know what evil ways, my brother is doing." She simply stated, making Maggie's eyes go wide. "What are you thinking?" The demon asked, hoping just a little, that the CEO would have a clue. "My brother owned multiple hideouts, secret lairs with high-tech weapons...I have a feeling we should go check them out, because by knowing him...Whoever helped him escape, had a past plan with him. Hen has a files filled with archived plans, when he got arrested, but no one was able to find it." I think Maggie and Lena are going on their little adventure...
