Three days later

Breaking news! Lex Luthor has been arrested for escaping prison, committing multiple murders, attempting mass murder and kidnapping innocent civilians. Documents have been brought into the precinct, showing his wicked plan of world domination, with mind controlling humans. It is not sure yet, but there are possible chances Lex Luthor will face a death penalty, but the jury has yet to decide. There is a high possibility the cou-.

The television was directly turned off, Lena not wanting to hear any more about her brother and for what he had done...So much was running through her mind, just so much that she felt those little boxes in her slowly open, letting her hidden emotions run freely...It was horrible, and she knew after the whole shock, especially finding out that the actual Devil was behind the charming woman named Kara Morningstar, she needed help.

Leaning back into her chair, the CEO took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to keep herself together for the day...Just for a day and then at home she could go back to drinking a lovely bottle of exquisite scotch and get so wasted, that she forgets everything and every messed up emotion in her...Even if it would last just for a couple of hours, it was definitely worth it. She opened her eyes once again, met by the horrible reality of her life...She knew that at any moment reporters and multiple media companies will call her assistant, bombarding poor Jess with interview appointments or questions...Of course she will decline all, since she herself is not in a stable state.

Her thoughts were interrupted when there was a knock on the door. "Come in." Lena answered, and soon the person entered the office. "Maggie, what are you doing here?" The CEO asked a little harsh, not expecting a visit from...A demon. Maggie seemed to have ignored Lena's harsh tone, just shrugging off the question. "Came in to check up on you, little Luthor." The demon simply answered, as she took a seat in front of the CEO's desk. Lena sighed, not in the mood for socializing and just wanting to dwell in her emotions...Yes, horrible mechanism. "You do know I don't need your protection anymore, since Lex has been arrested and might face the death sentence." Lena replied bluntly, as she looked down on her desk, singing a few papers here and there. Maggie chuckled a little, but seeing how the CEO was, something in her gut was telling that not everything is okay. "I just came in to check up on you as a friend and not a bodyguard. And I also wanted to know how you are...Dealing with everything." The detective in Maggie was starting to shine a little, trying to coax out some information out of the human.

The Luthor raised a brow, trying to come up with an acceptable answer, since 'I'm fine' will definitely not help. "I'm still trying to process everything, but I think I'm holding up." The last part was a blunt lie, she wasn't holding up, instead she was sinking into the worst depths of her thoughts and emotions...Someone definitely needed therapy. Maggie seemed to have bought it, but a little voice was telling her that a big truth was hidden. Before the demon could open her mouth, Jess entered the office, interrupting the little meeting. "Miss Luthor, you will be needed in lab 6." Lena nodded and right then Jess left the office. The CEO gave an apologetic smile to the demon, but the smile wasn't the same anymore...It was different. "I have to go Maggie, we can maybe meet up another time." Another lie, at this point Lena will forbid visits from any one...And she was serious.

Maggie nodded understandingly, as she stood up form the chair. "See you little Luthor." Maggie gave Lena a smile before she left the office. As the demon made it into the elevator, she knew something was wrong, but before telling anything to Kara, she had to find it out herself. Of course, Kara did not send her here, she just came by to actually check on Lena, but the words Lena was saying had only half or even less the truth in them...She just had to find out what was hiding behind that masked facade.
