Two weeks later

Lena was nervously pacing around in her living room. Today was the day...Today was the day of Lex's case. Today she was going to testify, hoping to show Lex was guilty and would be sentenced to death...Since him being alive would still bring danger to the world. But shouldn't she feel bad, that if her testimony is bringing the case to it's victory, that her brother would die? To be honest, a part of he will mourn for his death, since Lex was still her brother after all, but as much as the truth hurts, another part of her would be relieved that hew would be gone...Just suddenly gone poof, and would not endanger the world or her life...It would be more peaceful.

A knock on her door made her stop her nervous pacing. Opening the door, she was met by her best friend, Sam Arias, her emotional support for the day, who flew all the way from Metropolis to National City. "Don't tell me you've been pacing around like someone in a damn marathon." Sam commented, as she entered the house. Lena grimaced at Sam's comment, just proving other woman's point. The CFO sighed, gently hugging the CEO, knowing Lena could really use one of her special hugs. "I'm just nervous and...And scared what the outcome will be." Lena admitted, slowly relaxing into the embrace...She never knew she would need a hug this much, but a tiny voice was saying, a hug from a certain someone would be very much needed now. (Ahem, we all know who it is.)

"I know, honey. But you need to know, you are incredibly strong for doing this, and I know it's hard...I know you still see the good brother Lex once was, but not all angels have white feathered wings...Some have a broken halos, with black bat wings. Not all charming faces are the nicest, some hide the Devil behind them." The advice was kinda nice from Sam, but Lena had to internally cringe upon hearing the Devil...She herself was lost on what the Devil's sure intentions are...Was it devilish bad or angelically good? My answer is, let Miss Morningstar answer that question.

But first, how dare Samantha Arias, tell something like that about the Devil? I myself had to face palm...If Miss Arias only knew.

"Thanks Sam." Lena thanked, giving a smile to her best friend, as they broke the hug. "As good as I know you, you have for sure thought through about every possible question that would come up, and for sure practiced your testimony...Like over hundred times." The Arias stated, getting a chuckle out of the Luthor. "Yeah...I did." Lena admitted, as she picked up her coat, indicating it was time to go. "Knew it." Sam muttered, causing Lena to just roll her eyes in amusement. "Come on honey, we better get to court on time." Sam said, as she practically ran out of the door, Lena starting to question why in the world would her best friend be so excited to go to court? (Probably to get rid of Lex...Who knows?)

Both women made their way to Sam's white BMW G-Power Typhoon, Sam getting into the drivers seat while Lena into front seat. "After the whole court fiasco, we better get a nice bottle of scotch." Lena stated, dramatically putting her hand on her forehead and getting a laugh from Sam. "Who wouldn't want to?" Sam asked, starting the engine of the car, and soon drove towards the city.

As Lena and Sam made their way to court, Kara was busy downing her probably 10th glass of scotch of the day. The Devil just sat on one of the bar stools of her club, looking into the distance, while sipping on the glass of amber liquid. She was happy that Lena agreed to testify against her brother, but she was worried that something could go terribly wrong, and if something ever happened to Lena, Kara would beat herself about it until the end of the universe. "Your nerves seem to be a wreck." Maggie came into view, walking towards her master, who's nerves were indeed a wreck. Kara just rolled her eyes, kind of ignoring the little joke from Maggie. "Oh don't tell me you are overthinking this whole situation." The demon took a seat next to the Devil, during a glass of scotch for herself as well. "How can I not overthink, when there are possibilities of things going wrong?" Kara answered, filling another glass of scotch...By Hades, if she were human she would be wasted already. The demon next to her just chuckled, finding this new side of the Devil kind of...Amusing. "If things don't go as planned, Lex winning the case...I know you have a few tricks up your sleeves to make sure little Alexander won't escape jail ever again." Maggie had a point, and Kara's signature smirk came into view. "Well, I do have quite...Many devilish tricks." For a moment, thew Devil's eyes glowed a dangerous red, and the demon could feel a little change within her master, but she wasn't 100% sure...Maybe she was just being paranoid.
