A day later, Kara was back in her study, investigating each file they have found, while Alex sat on the sofa, looking through the targets Linda has pinned on the wall. "If she wanted to summon mother in the first place, why did she have all of these targets?" Alex asked, as she searched for the names of each target. All of them seemed to have criminal records, maybe more then the half are still in jail, probably spending their whole life there. "I don't know...I have this gut feeling that she had expected unable to summon mother, so she must have planned a plan B." Kara answered, trying to think of what Linda's next step would be. "Huh. Haven't you met Veronica Sinclair?" The angel asked, who looked through the target's file. Kara raised a brow, trying to remember if she had met that woman Alex had just mentioned. "I think so...Oh, now I know. I met her when she invited me in one of her tacky club fights, which were not entertaining at all." Kara admitted, causing Alex to laugh. "Well, on her file it's written that she had died in jail, because of a...Of a stroke?" Both found it odd, that a young woman died of a stroke. And both knew that can't be possible, they definitely knew it was Linda's doing. "It's even written that her body was found in her jail sell. Her death happened about a week ago." That was enough for Kara to know, that her twin sister was definitely onto something. "What are with the other targets?" The Devil asked, having feeling they might follow who the next target may be. "All the others were deceased years ago or some just had recent deaths. Like Ben Lockwood, he died a few days before Veronica Sinclair. The cause of his death, was being chocked to death by an inmate." Alex was wondering what Linda was up to, and why she was killing these people. "There was one missing picture, which is most definitely her next target. Do they have any connections?" Kara rubbed her face, clearly annoyed that for the past 12 hours they haven't found a clue yet. Alex quickly scanned each file. "Until now, I can't find any right connection, except they are criminals." The angel answered, causing Kara to sigh in absolutely frustration. The Devil just took break from looking through file after file, feeling....What do humans call it again? Ah, a headache. Just for a short time, she thought about yesterday evening: 'I almost kissed her...I would have, if only we weren't interrupted. Damn you Alex!' Kara thought in her head, giving a silent curse to Alex's direction. "Tell me what is bothering you, so you stop sending daggers to me with your red, glowing eyes." Alex said, still looking at the files. The Devil rolled her eyes, grumbling something incoherent. "What was that?"The angel asked again, seemingly enjoying her sister's reaction. "I said, you interrupted something between Lena and I." Kara shot back, her eyes still glowing red, clearly unpleased of the interruption from yesterday. "And what is that something I have interrupted?" Alex asked, wanting to know the tea. 'You better spill the tea, sis.' Alex thought in her head, silently chuckling to herself. Kara sighed, knowing her sister would keep annoying her, until she receives the information. "Fine. Lena and I almost kissed, and you interrupted us." Kara said, her whole face expression saying: 'Do it again, and I'll kill you.' Alex had to gulp, kind of terrified of her sister's facial expression. "But at least, that means you aren't the only one feeling something." The angel tried to lighten up the mood, hoping the Devil would stop looking at her like that. Kara's glowing eye faded away, as she has come to the realization, that Lena seemed like to return those feelings. "I would have my answer, if you had not interrupted us." Kara scolded, standing up from her chair to get a glass of scotch. Oh wow, she hasn't had a glass for a couple of days...Which is oddly weird.
"I'm really sorry, how could have I known? You said you wanted to fix the problem as fast as you can, so I called you as soon as one of your demons found a clue." Alex stated, which Kara groaned, knowing her sister was right. She finished her glass in one gulp, clearly in stress. "Ain't no rest for the wicked, dear sister." The angel said, while pouring herself a glass of water. Kara couldn't help but roll her eyes, as if the statement was not clear enough. "I can't believe you are drinking water, when you have the possibility to drink exquisite alcohol." The Devil commented, wondering how in the Heaven's her sister was drinking water, when she has good alcohol right next to the left drawer. But then she remembered, her sister is a kid with a halo. Alex just chuckled, once again looking through the files.
