Confrontation

"Janette come downstairs darling, we're going to Aljaz's house!" I heard my Dad shout.

"Do I have to come?" I said quietly coming down the stairs. "I really don't want to see her again!" I started shaking at the thought of her coming near me again.

"Calm down sweetheart, she's not going to get anywhere near you! Just stay near me and you'll be fine!"

We got in the car and drove up to Aljaz's house. My Mum and Dad got out the car and marched up the path and knocked loudly on the door.

"Who are you?" Mrs Skorjanec said opening the door.

"I am Janette's Dad, how dare you think it's okay to talk to my daughter like that! Look at the size of her! You have no right to talk to her like that!"

"She invited herself into my house and tried to take my son away from me! I know what girls over here are like!"

"Actually Aljaz asked me to come over..." I said from behind my Mum.

"Janette be quiet for a minute!" My Dad shouted. I got so scared at that point because my Dad never shouts at me, I'm his little pocket rocket! That's when I realised he was really angry.

"I want you to apologise for speaking to my daughter the way you did and that you will allow her to see Aljaz whenever she wants, you can't keep them away from each other, clearly they love each other!" My Mum said patting me on the shoulder.

"Aljaz, come down here please?"

"Janette oh my god are you okay? She hasn't done anything to you has she?" Aljaz shouted coming down the stairs and giving me a hug.

"No no she hasn't gotten the chance!" I said hugging him tightly.

"Aljaz, do you love Janette?" His Mum asked.

"Of course I do! What kind of question is that? I have never loved anyone more than I love Janette! You can't stop me from seeing her!"

"Fine if you really love her that much, you can be together!"

"Really?? Thank you Mum!" Aljaz shouted lifting me up and spinning me around.

"You treat my daughter right!" My Dad warned looking at Aljaz.

"Of course Mr Manrara, I will treat your daughter like an Angel! Janette, would you like to stay over tonight?"

"Is that okay?" I asked looking at my Mum and Dad.

"Of course it is!"

"I just have to go back to mine and get my school stuff for tomorrow! I can be back over by seven?"

"Yeah I'll see you then! Love you!" He said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I got back into the car and screamed because I was so happy I could finally call myself Aljaz's girlfriend.

"Bye Mum! I'll see you after school tomorrow!" I said running down the stairs.

"Keep me updated on what you are doing. And tell me if Aljaz's mum scares you again."

"Don't worry Mum I don't think she'll do anything again! I've never seen Dad that angry before so I think she got the message!"

I gave my Mum a kiss and headed out the door.

"Janette... wait up!" I heard a voice say. I turned around and Dianne was standing in front of me.

"Hey Dianne, what's up?"

"I just wanted to apologise for having a go at you today! I shouldn't have made you feel like that."

"Hey don't worry about it, I'm okay!"
