Police Get Involved

"Aljaz wake up!" I heard my Dad say.

"Dad unless you're going to tell me that Janette's been found I don't want to get up right now!"

"No I was going to tell you the police are here!"

"Have they found her yet?" I asked sitting up in bed.

"No they have agreed to put out a missing person appeal for her."

"Oh thank god!!" I shouted getting out of bed and frantically getting dressed and ran down the stairs.

"Hello Aljaz, how did you sleep last night?" Officer Milner asked.

"Not very well! What's involved in a missing person appeal?"

"Well we would ask you to put out a statement about Janette and your Mother, just asking people that if they see anyone acting suspicious or if they have seen anyone matching Janette's description to get in contact with us! This would involve being on the news, would you be okay with that?"

"Of course officer!! Anything to get Janette back!"

"Okay if you'd like to come down to the police station we can get you ready and we'll phone the news to come and interview you."

We headed down to the police station and I had to give Janette's and my Mums description to them and they would tell the newsperson.

"Okay Aljaz, we are going live in five minutes, are you ready?"

"Yes."

"Do you want your Dad with you?"

"Yes!"
