Searching The Building

"Where do we start?" Amy asked taking out her torch.

"Are there any abandoned buildings around here? That's probably where she is." Said Gorka.

"I'm pretty sure there's one at the bottom of the street but it's really creepy and I don't want to go in there, it could be haunted." Nadiya said hiding behind Giovanni.

"Don't worry I'll protect you!" Giovanni said giving her a hug.

"Well let's try there then!"

When we got there we all stood outside looking at each other wondering who would be brave enough to go in and look.

"Janette?! Are you in there?!" I shouted.

"Aljaz shush! You'll wake the whole street up!"

"I don't care I just need her back!"

"Well I'll come in with you... I'm not scared!" Katya said taking my hand.

"Will you guys be okay out here?"

"I think I'd feel safer with you rather than out here!" Amy said running over to us.

I took out my phone and put the torch on and opened the door.

"Janette? Janette? Are you in here?"

"Janette where are you??" Dianne shouted.

"Mum? Are you here?"

We waited for a reply from my Mum or Janette but we didn't hear anything.

"I don't think she's here mate." Neil said coming over to me.

"Well where else can she be?" I said starting to cry.

"I think we should just go home, it's getting really late!" Oti said shivering.

"You're Mum has to come home soon. She can't stay hidden forever." Amy said comfortingly.

"She's not going to just come home that easily! She'll wait until she's finished with Janette and by then she could be dead!"

"Let's just let the police find her. I have to go home, my Mum and Dad wanted me home by now." Dianne said giving me a hug.

"Get some sleep Aljaz and we'll find her tomorrow! We aren't going to give up on her!"

All the girls gave each other a hug and the guys gave me a pat on the shoulder and we all went back to our houses. I got into my house and my Dad was sitting in the living room.

"Any luck son?"

"No we went down to the abandoned building at the end of the road but there was no sign of her there. I'm scared Dad, what if Mum has killed her?!" I said falling into his lap.

"Don't think like that Aljaz, she'll be okay, I don't think your Mum would kill her. But remember and think about how Janette's parents must be feeling, at the end of the day it's their daughter that's missing!"

"I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight, I can already tell I'm going to have horrible dreams about Janette."

"You can sleep in with me tonight, then first thing in the morning we'll go down to the police station and tell them to get out there and look for her."

"Thanks Dad!"
