Getting To Know Him

That night I decided to go a walk to escape the amount of homework I had, that was one thing I didn't like about UK school, all the homework we got! I turned a corner and saw Aljaz walking towards me. I put my head down and tried to avoid him, but he cornered me and wouldn't let me go.

"Aljaz move please! I don't want to talk to you."

"Janette you don't even know me. You think you do but you don't. Come to mine, I'll tell you a bit more about me?"

"Won't your parents mind me coming over?"

"No they don't care."

We got into his house and he took me up to his bedroom.

"Right Janette, ask me anything you want to know about me." He said inviting me to sit on his bed.

"Why do you hang around with AJ and the others when they do stuff like that? Especially after AJ hit me!"

"Because they took me under their wing when I moved here, I didn't have any other friends. Why do you hang around with Dianne and the others?"

"Pretty much the same reason as you. Dianne was the first person I met, and she just introduced me to her friends."

"See we're more alike than you think." Aljaz said.

"I guess we are."

There was a moment of silence before Aljaz moved closer to me.

"Has anyone ever told you how cute you are?" Aljaz asked stroking my cheek.

"No..."

"Really? Because you are beautiful. I noticed you as soon as you waked into English yesterday."

I could sense where this was going, and I started to feel a little nervous.

"Should we really be doing this? What if your parents walk in?" I asked panicking.

"Don't worry Janette, they always leave me alone. So I take it you've never kissed a boy before?"

"No never." I said looking him right in the eyes. Was I about to have my first kiss? He kissed my lips, and it was complete magic! We kissed for about five minutes before I stopped to catch my breath.

"Wow... are you sure you've never done this before?"

"Yep you're my first."

"Pretty good for your first."

"I should go, my Mum will be wondering where I am." I said standing up and grabbing my hoodie.

"Okay, thanks for coming over. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah I'll see you then." I said giving him a hug and walking out the door, still in disbelief at what had just happened in there.

"Hey Janette, what are you doing on this side of the street?" a voice said scaring me a little, I then realised it was Amy.

"Jesus Christ Amy you scared me!" I said jumping.

"Why are you so jumpy? What's gotten into you?"

"N-Nothing. I was just heading home." I said trying to walk away.

"Janette where have you been?" Amy said standing in front of me.

"Nowhere..." I lied.

"You were at Aljaz's house weren't you?"

"No..." I said feeling my cheeks blush.

"Oh my god you were!" Amy shouted.

"Amy shush! You can't tell the girls anything."

"Did you guys kiss?"

"We might've done yes..."

"Janette can you come to mine or do you need to go home? We have to talk about this!"

"I have to go home. I should've been home ages ago, but I can call you when I get home."

"Okay but I expect you to call me as soon as you get home right?"

"Okay I'll talk to you later."
