You must understand why I had to lie to you as you were as naïve as everyone else, but now you must know this as you are part of this supernatural secret. You have been possessed by the spirit of the scarecrow. This was a result of a spell. We don't know who casted the spell but whoever it is, has connection to the Castellanos mansion and their family. The spell makes the caster immortal, meaning he won't age, won't die and will live for eternity, in exchange the spell requires the sacrifices of five kin members of the caster. This is a dark spell and does not comes without a remedy, and the remedy is the scarecrow. The only thing that can kill an immortal is the scarecrow, this is how dark magic works, every spell has a cost and every spell has a remedy." Then John added "We had suspicion about the Castellanos family for quite a while now, but we hadn't enough evidence about their involvement until now. First Damon told us his encounter with the strange beastly creature, then me and Marie encountered the two beastly creatures and an old witch. This conforms that necromancy or dark magic is practiced in Castellanos mansion. However, the caster is yet to be revealed. We managed to gather a few pages of spells that are connected to necromancy, and we managed to gather some information on the scarecrow as well." Marie stood up and walked to the fireplace which was extinguished "Damon, the reason you are vulnerable to fire is because the spirit manipulated you to turn dark and thus turning your heart dark also, the more, dark you are going to get the more you will become vulnerable to fire, however if you somehow fight off the spirit's manipulation and manage to stay good the affects of fire are reduced greatly, this also comes at a price as you are not able to use much abilities of the scarecrow's magic. The scarecrow gets stronger by devouring the souls of people especially wicked people. I wish we had more information about the scarecrow." Damon stood up, his face was clearly confused he walked a few steps and reached the front door. As he was opening the door he said "Tell me one thing Marie? Why of all people the scarecrow chose me?" Marie walked over to Damon put her hand on his shoulder and said "I wish I knew, but I promise you I will find more information about this." Damon said to everyone "I need some time alone, please leave all of you." Everyone knew Damon was troubled by all that he had learned, and it was a lot to process so they left his house. When Marie was leaving, she tried to kiss Damon but he turned her away, sad Marie left quietly as she knew Damon was hurt by the secret, she had kept from him. The door was shut behind them. John request Uncle Ricky to keep all the information a secret, to which he agreed as he also understood the situation. Damon was very upset and confused, he didn't know what to do. He stood in front of the mirror, wore the mask and called the scarecrow. The scarecrow answered his call and appeared. Damon asked "U lied to me, you were using me and tried to corrupt my mind so that u could take over my body and use it as your will." The scarecrow replied "I did not do anything I just did what you desired, your heart is full of darkness and hatred. I felt those emotions and did what was necessary. Just imagine what we can achieve together Damon, give in to the darkness." Damon became angry and shouted "You are wrong! I won't give in to darkness." The scarecrow was silent. Damon asked the scarecrow "Who are you? Why did you choose me? How can I get rid of you?" The scarecrow replied "I don't know who I am, I came to life the moment you wore that mask. Your heart was already corrupted before I even met you. You were the first person to wear the mask of the scarecrow that's why I possessed your body. As to how to get rid of me, I am part of your soul now so you cannot get rid of me." Damon took off the mask and sat down. He was depressed thinking about all the lives he took, he was ashamed a himself and the deeds he committed. John and Marie returned to the bar. The bar was full of people and they both were quite busy attending all the customers. Around midnight all the customers left and they both sat at the bar counter discussing what to do about the Castellanos family mystery. Just then a young man walked into bar, they both looked at the man. The man was wearing expensive clothes and had an intimidating aura about him. They had never seen this man before. He walked towards the bar counter, grabbed a stool and sat in front of John. He ordered a whiskey and looked at the place. John asked "Never seen you here before? You are not from here?" The man smiled back and said "Oh I am from here alright, but u don't know me." John was taken a back by the man's reply, he wondered who this man was. The man finished his drink and said "I came here looking for a man name Damon, I heard he is a regular here, can you tell me, where he is?"
