"It's chilly today! I feel like I need an extra cloak," a woman chuckled as she pulled her cloak tighter around her.

Taehyun could only chuckle and roll his eyes as he passed, not even bothering to wear a cloak. He could see the looks in the women's eyes as he passed, but it didn't matter to him. He slipped past them into the crowd. If there was one thing that made him stick out, it was his blonde hair. His hair was lighter than others, so he seemed to stick out in the crowd.

He knew that usually, the markets in villages were always more heavily populated during the afternoon, which is why he'd previously wished to avoid the market at this time, but he'd taken a little more time than he'd previously wished, so instead, he continued into the market, looking for the tavern where all of the job listings were posted. He was looking for an adventure to go on.

Taehyun never stayed in the same place that long, save Whitecrest Mountain, his hometown in the east. Taehyun would visit every now and then when he felt like he needed it. It was how he rested. He would return to his hometown, rather than stay in some tavern in a far off kingdom. There was no way he would stay in elven lands either.

Those in the Whitecrest Mountain have a long lasting rivalry with the elves. A rivalry that was more than the typical human-elf rivalry. The elves had tried to claim the mountain for themselves. The selfish actions of the elves are what caused this feud between races.

Because of the rivalry, Taehyun had never stepped foot in elven lands. To get to Eboncross from Whitecrest Mountain, one would usually travel through the elven lands. It took less time. Taehyun refused. Of course, seeing as he was closer North, and everyone in OtherWorld refused to cross through the remains of the destroyed kingdoms to the south, Taehyun went through the North and travelled near Helms Hollow to get to Eboncross.

It had been a long Journey. He wasn't able to count the nights he had slept in some tree of abandoned cave out of sight from the usual paths. For once, he was ready to sleep in one of the poorly kept taverns.

Though, his stay was only temporary, one night at the most, or so he had hoped. He wished only to find a quest to join and then he would no longer sleep in the tavern which now seemed comforting to him. He would be back to finding caves that were out of sight.

He made his way through the crowded streets. He had seen many crowds like this before. Rowdy crowds who wished to spend their afternoon in the marketplace, haggling the price of a cheap trinket. Whilst Taehyun admired their dedication, he simply couldn't tolerate these crowds. He preferred to be in less crowded spaces where he didn't have to shove his ways through the crowd.

He slipped through groups of people, making his way through the tavern. He had been bumped many times on his way, but something about his certain time felt purposeful.

Taehyun whipped around and caught the wrist of the person who had bumped him, raising it in the air to reveal his coin pouch resting in their hand.

"Would you mind giving that back?" He asked, raising a single eyebrow.

They attempted to yank their wrist away, but Taehyun had a strong grip. Taehyun began to pull the person away from the busy crowd into a gap between the nearby stalls, leading to an empty space.

"My coin pouch. Return it please," Taehyun demanded, keeping a tight grip on the rogue's wrist whilst holding his other hand out, waiting for the rogue to drop the coin pouch into his hand. "Didn't your mother ever teach you not to steal?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow.

The rogue turned to face him with fire in her eyes. Her hood slipped down revealing her hair, matted and tangled with dirt colouring it darker than it should've been. Her face was smudged with dirt as well, and the dark circles under her eyes were very noticeable. It was just then that Taehyun had begun to take a proper look at her black cloak. It was torn in several places and it was covered in stains.
