By the time she had finished, she had gained the attention of others. They'd continued moving forward as they all listened to the vivid descriptions that the rogue gave them and they shivered as she recalled every emotion, every feeling she felt.

"When I left his house, I didn't feel guilty, as I had felt previously. Usually, when I had felt the feeling of a knife slashing through skin, smelling that familiar scent, it was always accompanied by regret. Regret and guilt. But this time, I didn't. I didn't feel regret, nor did I feel guilt. I simply felt as if I needed to clean myself from his filth. I felt the need to wash away every memory and start anew. So I did. I became better versed in the Westron tongue and I made a living taking from the pockets of others," she explained.

"Ithildin..." Taehyun paused. "Do you wish for us to address you as such?" He asked.

"No," the rogue said sharply. "That name only brings up the horrors that have happened to me. I left that name behind in the stream when I washed those memories away. My name is (Y/N). Address me as such. If you no longer wish to use that name, Mistress Rogue is acceptable."

"I offer my sincerest apologies. I hadn't known of your past," Soobin murmured softly.

"I do not ask for apologies. It is no ones fault but my own. As a child I was too trusting, and I find myself realizing that I have never left that part of me behind," she said, glancing to Taehyun.

"You mean to say that when you screamed..." Yeonjun started.

"It was supposed to merely be an act, but of course my numbness wasn't as severe as I expected," she murmured. "I've not been able to feel my ears for a long while, but when a blade pierces the skin, it hurts."

"If that was intended to be only an act, let me suggest taking up a career in the kings opera, for that performance was beyond convincing," Beomgyu praised.

"It began as an act, but as the knife broke skin, I allowed my emotion to take control, for it had been a long while since I allowed my feelings to roam freely," she chuckled awkwardly.

"Are we almost out of elven lands?" Soobin asked, changing the topic to one that could bring the company more relief.

"Almost. We must go a while farther," Beomgyu assured him.

"Whilst I can confidently say my knowledge on poison is extensive, I cannot be too sure that my poison was potent enough to kill the entire kingdom of elves. In my heated state of mind, perhaps I over-exaggerated," the rogue mumbled, fiddling with a loose thread on her cloak.

"That is quite alright. They needn't choke on their own blood, no matter how deep my hatred for them runs," Yeonjun assured her, not even bothering to turn back to meet her eye.

"And what of me? And the Ranger? Is your hatred any different?" (Y/N) asked, Soobin's eyes darting up from the ground in surprise at the rogues abrupt question.

Yeonjun stopped just as abruptly and turned on his heels to face the rogue, who prepared for the wrath of the prince before her.

"I cannot say that I am enamoured with your presence, but you have wagered your life for our safety. Therefore, I owe you my own life. I am in your debt." Yeonjun's voice was stable and his eyes didn't waver, even as he felt himself fold into a respectful bow.

"My lord, don't do that!" The rogue gasped, not hesitating to pull him up from his bow so that he was standing straight. "You are a member of the royal family! You bow to no one!" She scolded, her cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

"I am no royal and I will bow to whomever I choose," he told her, lowering his head into a bow once more.

"Don't be mad, your highness," she scolded him, making him stand straight once again. "You bow only to your father and the queen! Not to commoners!"
