The room that the rogue was sent to was larger than any she'd entered before. The large space was decorated with many elven trinkets, and had she not thought better of herself, she would have nabbed one to sell in Eboncross.
The bed frame was intricately carved and atop the frame lay a mattress more soft and plush than any she had seen before, not that she had seen many. To the side of her bed was a lit wax candle in some sort of golden candle holder. The blood red silky curtains were drawn and held to the side by another golden trinket. Beside the bed was a beautifully made rug and across from the foot of the bed was not only a bath basin, but also a vanity with plenty of elven beauty products.
The guard had left her to stay in the room, though it wasn't long before a stunning elf maid entered the room, telling the rogue that she needed to take her measurements.
"What for?" (Y/N) asked taking a small defensive step backwards.
"There is to be a ball tomorrow. We have not had any half elves in our presence. We haven't a single garment for you. The king has requested that you and those in your company receive custom garments," the elf maid replied.
"What is the king planning to do with us? Why imprison my company yet give us custom garments to attend a ball in?" Her eyes were narrowed on the elf maid who seemed to get more nervous under her intense glare.
"The intent of the king is all but unknown to me. If I had to guess, I would assume he is going to use the prince for ransom. He may also offer the page, though, I am not so sure the king of Eboncross wishes to save him after what he's done. I am not sure what he intends to do with the rest of you," the elf maid told you, rocking back and forth on her heels. "If I can take your measurements, I shall be out of your way."
The rogue let out a sigh and allowed the elf maid to measure her, all the while wondering if her company was close enough to be able to get out of this conundrum.
"If you need anything, do not be afraid to ask. There are many around here who will provide you with what you ask. I do not expect you to know your way around the palace. Find any guard and ask them for where you wish to go. They will escort you," the elf maid said before ducking out of the rogues room.
The first thing the rogue did was cast a cantrip to detect magic. It was one of the few spells she had learned and there didn't seem to be any magic affecting this room. The next thing she did was cast a second cantrip similar to the one Taehyun had previously cast.
"What are we going to do?"
That was the first thing she asked. She received no reply for the first little while. She almost feared that she had incorrectly casted the cantrip.
"We must escape," Taehyun responded, his voice being heard by the others as no more than a whisper.
"But how?" HueningKai asked, his voice just as low as the Sorcerers.
"The ball," Soobin responded for the first time.
"What about the ball?" Beomgyu asked.
"All of the kings servants will be busy preparing for the ball. The eve of the ball, before the company of Eboncross arrives. We break out of here," Soobin suggested.
"You underestimate the kings men," Yeonjun replied.
"I think not. The kingdom is open. There is no gate nor wall. If we escape as others enter, we shall be free," (Y/N) told the five of them.
"I have a teleportation spell that I may cast. It takes a full minute and a lot of concentration. Should we be attacked, I must not be disturbed. It would be up to you to take care of the foes," Taehyun told everyone.
