Soobin separated from the group and quickly found himself climbing the pillars, using as much strength as he could. When he scaled to the top of the pillar, avoiding the gaze of the dragon, searching for its prey, he pulled himself onto a ledge where there was only a little room left between him and the ceiling. He held his bow diagonally as he lay on his stomach, a form of shooting he had never tried before. He watched as the others scattered below him.

HueningKai stay hidden behind a wall and Soobin felt a primal instinct take over when he saw the childlike fear wash over HueningKai's face. Knowing that he was a mystic did not ease Soobin's anxiety. However, Soobin had seen that HueningKai was easily able to react when faced with a violent orc pack, so he figured this should be similar. At least he hoped they triumphed.

He watched the rogue stick to the walls. It took him a moment to spot her. She blended into the shadows, her eyes watchful as she eyed the dragon, analyzing his movements and blending better when he turned to face her direction.

The beast was beginning to grow annoyed with the lack of attention he received from the travellers. His enormity was equal to that of the ballroom. He barely fit and as he turned about, his tail brushed the walls and the pillars.

Taehyun was hiding behind a wall, murmuring an incantation in preparation for battle and Yeonjun was by his side, taking a deep breath. Yeonjun clutched the handle of his sword, his companion which he had gotten to know quite well over his journey. As Soobin observed them, he clutched his eyes shut, knowing that Yeonjun was about to do something reckless.

When he opened his eyes again, Yeonjun was confidently strutting towards the beast, sword in his dominant hand. Soobin felt his limbs and mind grow lighter, no doubt the work of the mystic who remained hidden in the shadows.

"You all are very brave to approach me in such a casual manner," the dragon hissed as he turned towards Yeonjun, speaking as if he addressed them all. Soobin was confused, yet Yeonjun, when confronted with this inconsistency, did not miss a beat. He continued to move towards the dragon and as the dragon flinched back, moving his wing to shield himself from an invisible threat, Soobin realized it was the work of a master illusionist. Mistress rogue. Yeonjun took that moment to charge underneath the dragon, the heat from the stomach of the dragon, no doubt reaching him. The dragon moved his wing down when nothing struck him and he looked around in confusion. They would have the audacity to trick him?

As his anger grew, so did the fire in his stomach. The dragon whipped his head in all directions, searching for the actual threats.

"Come out and face me!" He roared, the flames leaving his gaping maw unintentionally. The fire caught on the rafters across the ballroom from Soobin. He then knew that his time was limited, for once the flames reached him, he would have no escape.

Soobin drew back an arrow closing one of his eyes to take aim, taking into account the conditions of the room and the conditions of his stance. He took a breath and then let the arrow fly. It crumbled against the hide of the dragon, and the beast took no notice. It was then that Soobin realized his role. He was not to damage the beast. He was a distraction.

Yeonjun stood under the dragon and looked to Soobin, and with his sharp, piercing eyes, he pleaded for Soobin to continue. Yeonjun stood by the foot of the dragon and the claw was bigger than he was. Soobin realized that of all people, somehow, he was in the least danger. He took another breath and reached for his quiver, nocking another arrow and aiming at the great beast, waiting for him to turn around so he could fire an arrow at its eye. He saw a small bubble appear in front of his arrow, smaller than the one that had appeared back when they had been attacked by the orc pack, no doubt smaller for greater stealth. He allowed the arrow to fly, and this time, the arrow did not crumble against the near indestructible hide of the dragon, but instead it bounced off. It clattered against the floor and the dragon froze, looking towards the noise. Yeonjun held his breath and maneuvered his way around the foot of the dragon to avoid being seen.
