Valeria
It was day 3 of being in Seattle and I already had my mind set on never going back to Cali, and just staying here forever.
Obviously that wouldn't be happening anytime soon but it was something nice to think about.
But anyways, I had just finished doing my makeup and getting dressed when Vinnie walked into the room. He was wearing a black and off white colored shirt with a few 'x's on, and a pair of black jeans. His hair was pulled into a small man bun with the two front pieces of his hair coming out of the front, framing his face nicely.
Today, me, Vinnie and his mother were going to lunch.
I was semi nervous because she had mentioned she wanted to talk to us about some stuff and I didn't really know what she meant by that. So yeah, my palms were slightly sweating and I was possibly going pale as the seconds dragged on.
"Do you think I should wear the leather jacket? Or do you think it's going to be too much..." I asked him, looking at myself in his mirror.
I was wearing a white knit dress and some black boots, a very simple outfit but I wanted something that was gonna cover me a bit more. "Yeah I don't want you to be cold and get sick. The jacket also goes really well." He tells me, putting on his necklaces in the mirror as he stands behind me.
I nod my head, moving my hair out of the way as I put the jacket on. I fix myself in the mirror one last time before I sit back down on the bed. "Valeria I can tell your nervous." He finally says, after a moment of silence.
"N-No I'm not." I try to laugh out. I couldn't even convince him even if I wanted to.
"Yeah you are. You never ask me about your outfits unless you're feeling unsure of yourself and you're doing that thing with your nose." He smiles. "What thing?! I'm not doing a thing." I say defensively.
"You scrunch your nose up two times in a row all the time when you're nervous. You do it without even realizing it...that has to be the cutest thing." He grasp my hands into his, looking at me, waiting for me to break. And I do, like always. "Okay well I am a bit nervous. I know we hit it off just fine two days ago but she said she had something to talk to us about. What if she thinks I'm not a good influence on you or something? You know because of the Mason thing..." I trail off, making Vinnie roll his eyes.
"I'm not going to lie, it probably is about the Mason thing, but that's not going to make her dislike you. She knows why I did it, I told her what happened at the party before I even told my dad and she wasn't completely mad. She was more worried about you getting hurt than me even getting into the fight." He laughs out, trying to lighten the mood.
"I just feel bad that it all even happened. I had a feeling it was him but I just had so much hope it wasn't him." I groan.
"Hey, look at me. I brought you here to forget about that. If we have to talk about it, then we will, but after that we won't mention it again. It wasn't your fault that I decided to fight him. I promised you that I'd defend you no matter what, and he tried lying on you so I did what I needed to do. And I'll do it all over again if I needed to."
What did I ever do to deserve him?!
"Hey, are y'all ready?" Vinnie's mother says, knocking on the door.
"Yeah mom, we're coming down right now." Vinnie speaks.
"You look so beautiful Ms. Hacker." I say, sending her a warm smile. "Oh you my dear, already filled in that position tonight." She compliments, making me smile. Okay maybe she does like me.
She walks out the room, and Vinnie turns around with a I told you so look. "You see." He says.
"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah." I laugh, waving him off.
