Vinnie
In that moment when I saw Masons elbow connect with Valeria jaw I lost my shit.
I gripped onto his shirt so fast, turning him around while swinging with my opposite hand, connecting my fist to his jaw. "Vinnie stop! Vinnie!" I hear Nick yell. "No! You fucking hit my girlfriend. I'm going to fucking beat his ass." I yell, swinging at Mason again.
He falls to the ground, while people around start yelling around us. Nick pulls me back, heading towards the back lawn of the house where Valeria was at with Willow.
"What the fuck happened? No one told me you were planning to go all bat shit crazy on the kid." Willow says walking up to me, but all I could think about was Valeria at the moment. I go to walk towards her but Willow steps in front of me shaking her head, while Nick goes over to console her.
"Not right now. She feels like shit about Lily finding out the way she did, and not only that, she was just elbowed in the face and that brought her back to a bad place. She just wants some time to herself right now. I only just got her to calm down and catch her breath." Willow tells me. "But I just want to check on he-." I go to say but she's quick to cut me off.
"You can and you will just not right now. She knew this was going to happen that's why she wanted to get you out of there once she saw it was him. But she was too late so she's taking this whole thing pretty hard right now."
I shake my head, looking over towards Valeria, seeing that her eyes were bloodshot and her face was stained with tears.
All I wanted to do was go up and kiss her, telling her that I beat his ass for her but I knew that wouldn't make her feel any better. She was sensitive to that type of shit, but I lost control when I saw him again. I promised myself if I ever saw him, it would be no talking and I would just fuck him up.
All I know is, is that I stayed true to my word.
"How did you and Nick even get here so fast?" I question, realizing that they weren't even together when we left.
"I had a bad feeling about the party once Valeria started talking more about the possibility of it being Mason, so I called Nick up and he was down to come. Ryland almost came too, but we were lucky that he got caught up with some other shit. But by the time we got here it was already too late, because you and Masons stupid ass were already fighting." She says rolling her eyes.
"He fucking deserved it. That lying piece of shit told Lily that he was arrested for some stupid reason." I scoff, spitting out the bloody taste that lingered in my mouth.
"She's a bit dim for believing him but I mean who can blame her? I'm just saying, if his ex girlfriend gets him arrested, you're just gonna assume that it's for a petty reason? No, domestic abuse cases are serious. But he got off lucky though. Who knew that mommy sleeping with the police could get you a get out of jail free card." Willow mindlessly states, making my eyes go wide.
"What?!"
"Yup. Masons charges were only dropped because after his parents divorced, she started taking a liking to one of the police officers who just so happened to end up working on the same case as her son. She practically begged him to drop the case and say there was no evidence for the simple fact that Val blacked out and didn't know what happened to her and didn't remember until it was like a week later."
"That's fucked. Why hasn't she ever talked to me about that?" I question.
"It's not something she likes talking about. It bothers her because Mason deserved to be in jail because we all know what happened, but because she couldn't remember specifically seeing Mason, they dropped everything besides the restraining order but that only lasted a year. That's why no matter what he says or how much he wants to apologize, I will never forgive him for what he did to her. He literally dropped her off at her house while no one was there and had her parents come home to finding their daughter completely blacked out. If he ever had any remorse then he wouldn't have pleaded not guilty... That's just how I see it." Willow finishes, looking back over to Valeria.
