Chapter 1: She made the first move

*badu-badum-badum badum badum* alarm clock

"stupid alarm clock," she says 

She gets up, reads the bible, and reflects for 10 mins. Praises God for the wonderful day he has given her and starts getting ready for an online class. 

Veyanna Clairesse! fighting! you can do it! *click* enters zoom. 

"good morning everyone," said Sir Adam " have you seen our new schedule for the new term? " well for those who haven't seen it, I will share my screen now. Yup there it is, ya'll better prepare for exam week is coming on the 22 of March." Now 5 mins left before we open the breakout rooms, again good morning Everyone" 

*Veya opens her phone* 

*ting* *ting* *ting* * she checks her messages, checks IG. "Uh miss Morales, breakout rooms are now open you may proceed to your room," Sir Adam said. 

I'm sorry po, I'm going in.  she replied. 

Her classes start, her drive kicks in, In her mind, she always tells herself to focus. Focus on the class get things done, pass, and transfer to a different school. she has been studying At Grent Academy for so long. Ever since Pre-school up to today, Jeez, it is like the whole school saw her grow up, it's like she's stuck in the same system every day. she Legitimate memorizes everything in her school that is there is a new student she is part of the greeting committee, but then again she was forced to be in that organization. the school has been trying to get her out of her comfort zone and start interacting, she's too shy. But her words were so full it's like Shakespeare gave birth to a daughter. Her words had a meaning so deep that sometimes you're buried under it already once you've read it. 

Online class, she doesn't hate it. she just finds it very tiring, due to the neverending stare on the screen and not seeing something so more interesting. she misses the activities and her friends, playing football and joining organizations, and hosting Intramurals.  but she still is a determined student wanting and proving to her parents that there will be a good reason for her to transfer to a new school and start fresh. and finally, They agree! Madrina College's laguna a great school for STEM students! her dream to be a Pediatrician is coming true in a few years! she may not be super responsible but she is determined. 

"Madrina Colleges here I come!"

Classes just keep going and going and there comes a time in a day she checks her phone goes to IG and sees what and who students are on there making stories, posting pictures of themselves, literally not listening to class, and just scrolling their way through the day.  And there it was a picture of her potential crush during online classes looking all cute and mysterious. you all probably wondering who this guy is? 

John Nathan Cairo De Los Santos, aka Cairo, Football player,   her heart just keeps beating and her hands shaking trying to decide does she chat with him or not, ask him what's he's doing, why isn't he listening. 

"Oh God First move?!?" she says

she doesn't do first moves mostly boys do it, she thinks it's kinda weird. so she skips it. transfers the app to TikTok and on her for you page sees a video saying to claim your man and make the first move. she darns get irritated and types down in the picture of Cairo saying. "bored already" 

Veya's PoV 

Are you out of your mind?!? "bored already.." What the hell are you thinking will he even reply to that? of jeez Veya, you could've shot your mouth or stop your hands and just react like haha or wow or, I don't know. I should have picked better sentences rather than bored already? that's just sus for him. oh god. what why? veya get your head in the game! I think I should delete it yeah pretend it didn't happen. it could be what's up or hi or oh jeez this is just not working I-

* Ting * 

Her hands start to sweat, her heart's racing. Her hair doesn't feel so smooth anymore. 

*Opens Dms* 

"yeah, I want to play video games already, You?" he replied 

HE REPLIED!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!! HE - REPLIED!!
