It was morning, Veya woke up late she slept so late due to her thinking Mira Calls her on her laptop, knowing that she comes to zoom classes late again.
"let me guess, you caused it," Mira said as Veya answered the call.
"morning" Veya mocking Mira using the line of Fred in Harry Potter movies.
"so, have you talked either both of them?" Mira asked
"no, haven't actually," Veya answered.
"well you can't sit there and think of them while reading books and when they ask answer them with not thinking it through," Mira said.
"yeah, Im getting there I swear," Veya insisted
"Okay I'll see you in gamecord, and zoom," Mira said
Veya ends the call, gets up, and gets ready for school. she went down for breakfast, she spots her dad talking to someone outside, she comes out and sees Gab talking to her dad.
"speaking of my daughter, Veyanna Gab's here," Her dad said
'I can see thanks dad," Veya answers and gets out and talks to Gab. And she leaves them both, went back inside the house.
"what are you doing here?" She asked Gab
" you weren't answering my texts, I am asking you on a date.. I was texting you," He answered.
"wanna hang out?" Gab added.
Veya's heart went butter. she didn't know what to answer.
"Gab can I text you my answer, Im sort of still figuring things out and helping out at home, Probably my dad would you know say I'm free, but after Jake, I am kinda not so ready," Veya answered.
"no pressure haha, don't worry the offer still stands," Gab answered.
"we're still up for the team building on Saturday?" Gab said.
"Yeah, see you there," Veya said.
"you need a ride?" Gab asked.
"yeah sure," Veya said.
Veya's feelings are on a roller coaster. she is trying to decide if it's a good thing to go on a date with Gab when she hasn't told Cairo about him. Veya couldn't understand her feelings, she is going back and forth in the width of her room, trying to comprehend herself and calm her nerves, she's perspiring and having a hard time breathing, she couldn't make a decision without Cairo knowing. she feels like she is repeating history.
but then they will just go out as friends, not lovers... knowing that Gab likes her. she thinks it wouldn't be a problem. I mean it really wouldn't be a big problem, she says it in her head. she feels like she wants to puke out the answer and gift it to Gab.
*knock on her bedroom door*
"Veyanna?" Her dad called out.
*veya opens the door*
"hi dad" she replied.
"so how was the talk with Gab?" her dad asked.
"ah he just talked about a ride to the team building he will pick me up at 9," she answered.
" I see, anak... he also asked me for you to be on a date? are you going on a date? hangout?" her dad said awkwardly.
"yeah, I..m Uh I said no" Veya answered.
"ow, I see... I think It would not be bad to go out with a friend?" her dad insisted
"yeah, but I got lots to do" veya tried to excuse herself, but her father knows the moves.
"okay," he just said without trying to convince her.
"dad?" veya called
"it's okay, just so you know there's 1000 by the piano, take it when you are to leave," her father said and smiled.
Veya knew it was going to be the money for the date, she came back to thinking and setting things out but seems that her hands were getting sweaty, her hair's getting icky, her face was perspiring from the movements she was doing in her room without the fan on. she got out of the room down to the living room saw the money on top of the piano and ignored it, ran to the shoe shelf.
she got her running shoes and ran around the village trying to calm herself out, from the indecisiveness.
she feels so stupid, it's stupid of the stupidest. she can't decide. she feels like Chidi from a good place Netflix series.
