Chapter 29 Caim

Veya's POV 

it was like those movies... those movies where supposedly the girl asks this guy out to talk but the tension keeps rising and rising, suddenly feels like it wasn't the right moment. I was so nervous, I did not know If I should really tell him. I don't know if I had to blurt it out saying 'you are a great guy, but I think it won't work because I like someone else and I was waiting for him" 

and I seem like a jerk, I kissed Gab! I really did like Gab, just that when I look at him, I feel safe and caim. that nothing else will harm me. 

I want to be with him, yet I don't want to break Cairo's heart, it's just not right.

Nonetheless, it was so great we were eating, he really made some funny jokes. We talked about the schools and the students we might meet! 

it went so great! he even took me to the movies! to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It was late, so we had the theater to ourselves. We cracked jokes and shared our love for Harry Potter, and with all that space we had, we still sat close enough to hold hands."

we went for a ride after the movies, we went to the coffee shop where we officially met and rode with him to the meeting. 

 It went awesome up till the desert. I ate the whole lava cake and he was impressed, concerned, and surprised for me at this point. 

he just laughed his ass off and he looked at me. He looked at me, held my hand from across, and said to me softly " why did you really call me?" and that's when I knew.

Gab looked right into me and while holding his hand, my hands start to sweat. I need to tell him. he would understand. 

"I- yeah... I have to tell you something and please don't hate me" Veya said. 

Gab looked at Veya, like it has gone serious. But he was eager to listen. 

"look, I know we hit it off pretty well and there was a bit of confusion and misunderstanding, but... you- I mean I- Uhm... I like you I really really do. it is just that I was waiting for someone when you came and I sort of hoped he would you know.. but I was waiting to tell you. but It wasn't such a great time I- I don't know. I like you a lot! I really do... its just that I don't want to hurt his feelings when he does find out that you know I found someone else when I said I will wait, that is such a jerk of me-" Veya was cut

"Veya, I get it," Gab said

"Veya, I get it... it's okay, It's not like a little bit who will have tantrums cause I didn't get this girl who made me smile every day" Gab said 

"you don't have to" veya said but Gab insisted. 

"Veya, it's alright. I am not a little kid anymore...just know that I am not fading away. I am not going to fade away because I know you are tired of that." Gab said sincerely holding her hands. 

"you really understand?" Veya asks

"yeah" Gab answering back 

"it's a bummer but hey, I still have you and you know I am not going anywhere," Gab reassured her 

Gab gets up and pulls Veya up and hugs her and as they hug Gab hugs her tighter and veya rubbing his head. she pulled away and they both sat down again. 

Gab brings out a gift and Veya shockingly was looking right where leads outside to the parking lot and sees Cairo with his friends. 

Veya starts to tear up and runs out of the coffee place, it was raining. and she was trying to call Cairo out. she tries to get to him yet he ran fast and lost him in the rain.

His friends, looked at Veya like she was the bad guy...

Veya was heartbroken she bursts into tears and kneels down crying. 

Gab ran out to Veya and saw Veya in tears, she stood up and saw Gab followed her out, she runs to him and cries on his chest. and gab's hand rubbing her head and back comforting her. 

After Veya crying, she fell asleep on Gab's shoulders. He brought her home, He carries her to her house and in her room and places her down on the bed. Gab leaves her room and sees her father looking at her, Her father thanks him and blesses him with a safe ride home.
