TLWCC XX- Distracted

My phone vibrated on my pocket and it surprised me to see who messaged me.

From: Babe
     Baby, can we talk? Please :(

I didn't pleasure to reply on his text message because I'm not yet ready to talk about it. Isa pa, masyado nang nakakapagod ang araw na ito dahil sa 'raming requirements na ipapasa. And adding him to my priorities now will be exhausting.

I really wanted to know the real story behind him and that Lalaine girl yet I'm not ready to hear it. It seems like he's stabbing my chest multiple times that it's making my heart beats faster.

Siguro ay nakarating sa kaniya ang balita na pumapasok na ako sa school dahil na rin sa basketball players na naglalaro last week. Kenneth probably told him that I finally went to school. I don't know if what he's thinking regarding my absence in school, maybe he's thinking that I'm stress because of our cool off.

"Jack?" Callix asked me when he saw the screen of my phone.

Katabi ko kasi siya saglit dahil nag-uusap usap ulit kami tungkol sa gagawing Review Of Related Literature. We are working in Related Studies and I'm searching on my phone through Google Scholar.

"Obviously," I told him at saka tiningnan ko ng muli ang pina-paraphrase naming reference.

Ilang segundong binalik namin ang isio namin sa pag-gawa ng Related Studies, my phone continues to vibrate. Isa lang ang rason kunv bakit patuloy itong nag-vibrate. Someone's calling me and I think he's calling me.

Tiningnan ko ang cellphone ko at makita ko pa lang pangalan niya at ang picture naming dalawa sa contact ay para na namang sinasaksak ang puso ko. I ended the call and go back to what we are doing. Hindi pa nga limang segundo, my phone vibrated again. I didn't view it, simply I get my phone on my pocket and just ended the call without even looking at it.

But then, ganoon pa rin ang nangyari, he keeps on calling me again the moment I ended his call. Nainis na ako kaya naman nilagay ko na lang sa bag ko ang cellphone ko. If he keeps on destructing me while I'm studying, my mind won't work!

"If you are keeping your distance on him, he will just keep on chasing you, Mau." Callix told me but I didn't bother to answer him.

Nagpatuloy kami sa paghanap ng RRL pero ang utak ko ay lumilipad na. My mind keeps on thinking of what Callix told me. Nakakainis dahil kahit anong basa ko sa related studies na nahanap namin ay hindi ko maintindihan.

"Distracted," sambit ni Callix sa akin habang nakasilay ang mumunting ngiti sa kaniyang labi.

If I know, he is already watching my moves when Jack called me. Urgh! That man!

"No, I'm not, Callix. I'm just... Hungry, I guess." I ensured him but he's not satisfied.

He get his phone, ballpoint and the paper where I'm writing on my hand and he works silently. Para tuloy akong paralisado dahil 1sa ginawa ni Callix sa akin. They are all working yet I'm here and watching them!

What a dumbbell in this group!

"Let me help you," I told Callix.

Tiningnan niya lang ako ng seryoso at pinagpatuloy na ang ginagawa.

"Your mind won't work properly when it's distracted. And I understand that, Cheska Mauricé. Ako na ang bahala dito," tugon niya sa akin kaya wala na akong nagawa kung hindi ay sundin siya.

After almost one hour, we are finished of what we're doing. Pinagsama-sama namin ang nakalap naming reference at saka ini-stapler 'yon para hindi magulo.

Kinuha ko na ang cellphone sa bag dahil wala na si Ma'am, but in my surprise, Jack is still calling on my phone. Nakakailang tawag na siya sa akin kaya napatingin na ako sa kanila Ruby kung busy ba sila para hindi nila mahalata na lalabas muna ako saglit ng room.
