Severus
The dark black rollicking dungeons. Usually icy cold with the smell of charcoal and cinnamon. Not the best setting for lousy children, however; they manage. It's an everyday routine. An individual wakens from one's dreams or nightmares with sweat beads or rather a smile. There must be no in between. Surely not possible.
The bitter but brilliant potions master was no different from anyone. However, people thought otherwise. He didn't get along with everyone. Even if he tried others surrounding him would be shocked. As if they've never seen a man like him smirk or laugh. He couldn't show them the real him. The man who has suffered greatly without wanting anything in return.
Maybe one thing.
Respect.
Severus rolled out of bed with his feet supporting the bare cold floor. Once again the everyday routine. Get up. Drink. Watch the fire. Teach. Today was different nevertheless. Free day as society calls it. On the other hand, today isn't that day. Why must you ask? Well, this very day Albus had asked him to check on his so-called Assistant. The women with the attitude problem. The women he knew from school days despite that they hated each other. He remembered the day she had established the idea of talking to him. After that day he never stopped thinking about it. After that day he had watched from a distance. Severus never wanted to show that he did care. He did want to talk to her even so the mind considered otherwise.
Flashback
The raven-haired boy walked along the luxuriously green field. Heavy books pressed against his skinny chest holding them for dear life. His eyes had been swollen from the incident relating to the Gryffindor boys. A dark and fully armored purple bump on his right eye while a stinging sharp cut on his lower lip. The pain had been beginning to feel delightful.
He had been looking at the ground walking. No one should see how he looked. Some would have screamed or ran. He didn't want the attention. He had heard moans and smacking of a presence not too far. Slowly looking up he witnessed the scene in front of him. The couple couldn't see him but he had quite a view in front of him. He noticed the girl right away. It was the Ravenclaw girl with pretty eyes. Her name was Aurora. He liked the name very much. It sued her well. She had been kissing Jason.
