She still couldn't comprehend why Severus was putting on a fake cold exterior. After all these years the man still looked lanky and tired. There's something he's concealing and for some explanation, she wishes to find out why.
Aurora preferred to be friends with the man. The first encounter appeared with Aurora in her 3rd year and he was in his 5th. Additional years Severus bumped into her and yelled at Aurora. Which didn't go nicely yet that's a story for another time.
Flashback
Aurora was on her way to the library. She couldn't go outward because it's was freezing. You understand that February month shoves you in the arse. When she arrived she saw a tall black figure overlooking the book wall. Her being friendly self-decided it would be pleased to introduce herself. Aurora thought "maybe I can make new friends". When she approached the figure, a wave of uncertainty interfered as the boy either would be bubbly or raged.

"Ahem" Aurora whispered knowing Irma Pince would have her head.
No answer "Ahem"
Still no answer
"AHEM"
"What are you want you, stupid girl!"
"H hi...my name is Aurora, I'm in Ravenclaw" she hesitated yet still smiled with her perfect teeth.

"I do not care who you are!" Severus whispered angrily as he eyed her features. "Do not bother me when I am reading, do you understand, or do I have to hex you!"Severus seethed. Aurora was taken back. Sure her abusive parents yelled at her but to hear it coming from a kid who was not so older. It hurt.
"Arsehole... I swear" she whispered. Little did she know, he heard what she had murmured.
A frown paraded around his mouth as he watched the pretty girl walk away. His anger got the best of him and he took it out on a girl who wanted to be friends. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and her hair curled perfectly.

End of Flashback
"Um Severus what are you doing here??" Aurora exclaimed, rubbing her eyes to see clearly.
"Stop calling me Severus. You will call me Professor and that is it."
Well, this is going to be fun. When did he become a teacher?? She couldn't believe he's been the same since Hogwarts years. The man has not changed at all. Still has those cold dark eyes she remembers and black hair. He also has a long hooked nose that makes him stand out along with pale white skin.
"Are you going to let me in or do should I come back when you decide to stop staring." Severus sneered, observing the young women who looked the same yet aged wretchedly attractive.
Aurora's anger grew. How dare he be rude to her in her house while he stepped on her doormat. "Professor I would appreciate it if you didn't give me so much sarcasm and tell me why you are here."
Severus was taken back slightly at her backtalk. No one dared speak to him in that tone. Who does this woman think she is. He needed to stay calm due to Albus telling him so. Stupid old man.
"Headmaster has sent me here to inform you that you will be my assistant. I do not care if you say yes or no if you have an issue you will discuss your problem headmaster is that clear."
She couldn't believe Albus sent this git over here to tell her to work for him. He's got to have a pea size brain.
"You can leave." Aurora closed the door slightly.
He caught the door almost touching hands."I'm not finished."
"I do not care if you are finished get out of my house."
Severus was furious. She swears I saw red horns reaching out of that man. Seems like no one has put him in his place so it felt delightful. Just as he was about to leave he turned around slowly.
"I do not have a pea-sized brain, Ms. Pierce, on the other hand...". With that, he slammed the door earning a flinch.
She couldn't stand seeing his face again. How do you even respond to that?
- Severus POV-
That foolish woman. All she had to do was shut her mouth and listen to what I had to say. Simple as that. As I stepped out of the cottage I stared at the sunrise. It was disturbing how much of the new air and flowers lingered around my nose. It was too friendly here.

I wanted to get out of here rapidly. I apparate straight to Albus office. I need to inform him how great of a brat Ms. Pierce was being.
