"Don't you think I forgot about the strawberries," Aurora uttered, attempting to skip a rock into the lake. It was too freezing however Lupin suggested fetching fresh air outside. Whatever that meant to Aurora anyway. The castle could prevail a bit stuffy sometimes.

Lupin grinned bumping his shoulders onto hers. "They were magnificent, thank you."

She shoved him on the moist grass. His body slightly slipped. It didn't hurt considering the tiny women didn't put enough burden. Lupin was scrawny but had a few muscles here and there. His words, not hers.

"You aren't funny!" Aurora smiled. She missed him extremely and anyone could tell by the bright teeth striking.

The snow consumed most of his pants by now. "Look at what you did!" He brushed some of the remaining. "It's too cold to be pushing down your superiors." A joke was thrown out. His arms folded in a professional manner mocking her actions.

She groaned, releasing her arms. "You sound just like Severus."

"Merlin Aurora, of course, he would say that."

It was true. Still, she hoped he meant well.

Lupin watched Aurora's expressions. Her nose is slightly pink from the cold. She didn't seem happy at his comment. Maybe it was just the cold.

"It's everything okay?"

Aurora retracted out her daydream turning her head. She giggled again, shaking her head. "Of course, it's always okay."

He knew she wasn't. There was always something with Aurora Pierce and he wanted nothing more to see inside her mind. Lupin only wished she would allow it.

"Aurora why is your left eye black!" Lupin shouted at her, searching for a sign of acknowledgment.

She didn't change positions nor say anything. Aurora Pierce stood frozen looking towards the side. Her hands shoved inside her pockets as if nothing occurred. As if she didn't have an injury.

Sirius touched her shoulders rubbing them softly. She was so beautiful in his eyes. It hurt knowing Aurora belonged to someone else. Someone that didn't deserve her. He knew she was never going to pick him.

Aurora looked up facing the boys. Her lips curled into a smile.

"I fell down the stairs, no need to worry."

She was crying on the inside.

••••

"We should-d get inside before we freeze-e to death." She shivered, her lips gently turning purple.

"Dammit Aurora!" Lupin cried, quickly rushing up. Her body huddled together with only a light sweater covering her body. She wore jeans, tight jeans. He unclasped his brown robes, scrambling towards her side to wrap her body. "It's my fault, I'm sorry." His arms bandaged around her body sending her around the corner of the castle. He contemplated as her eyes closed smoothly. Her long lashes brushing against her cheekbones.

With her eyes closed, she growled, "Don't apologize, it's my fault."

He didn't answer, instead, he tightly lifted her, carrying her into the infirmary. Poppy would be at her aid instantly.

"Remus! Oh my god, I'm fine. I just need to lay down on my bed." Aurora stated, amused at the concern of her friend's state.

Once again he said nothing but jog across the hallways. His shoes stood still soaked but that didn't stop his actions. Aurora patted his chest as a thank you.
