I flicked my fingers allowing a wave to come and wash away all the symbols, and any proof of Malaki's and my conversation.

"Marilla?" Isaac asked walking out from the vegetation. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." I said softly.

"You look tired?" He said getting closer.

"I couldn't sleep." I said knowing that if I lied and said I did sleep he wouldn't believe me.

"Malaki?" He asked putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah." I said nodding, Malaki. The monstrous demon spawn, that wanted to know about my sex life, and that had held no remorse for his actions. I would kill him.

"Isaac." I started, "The Dark One wants me alive, to find something, do you know what it is?" I asked trying not to give away more than needed to be.

His eyes widened at my words, and I knew he knew something. He looked at me worry filling his eyes.

"I think so."

"It's called the Trident of the Seven Seas." Isaac said as he pushed a book towards Max and I. I had seen the picture before, when I read through the book. But the page was not about the trident but about the man who welded it.

King Triton, the Merman to bring all seven seas together, and rule as one. From what I could gather this happened more than a thousand years ago.

The picture painted him standing between the waves, with long black hair moving in the wind, his skin glowing as he held onto a silver blue, three pitched, trident.

"It's said to be a legendary weapon that is able to conjure water." I looked up at Isaac in fascination. My powers relied heavily on the fact that I needed to be near water, I couldn't make it appear from thin air. Having the ability to not only wield water but summon it made my skin tingle with excitement.

"There are other Legendary Elemental weapons." Isaac continued, "Malaki's is one."

I thought about Malaki's long blade.

"The Dark One managed to obtain it many many years ago." He said shaking his head. "I am not surprised he now wishes to add another one to his collection."

"Can anyone wield these weapons?" Max asked leaning against the table.

"No, you have to be blood from the blood that made them."

"Why does he want the weapons then?" I asked pretty sure a Fae didn't share blood with an old Mermaid king.

"To destroy them." Isaac said.

"That sounds pointless." I said creasing my eyebrows.

"Darkness has no points." He said in his vague, but wise tone. Maxwell and I just exchanged an annoyed glare.

"He probably doesn't want anyone stronger than him." Maxwell said shrugged at me.

"I guess." I said feeling unsure.

"Why do he think I can help him find it?" I asked looking at Isaac.

Isaac stopped to rub his chin, "I am not sure."

"I don't even know if it still exists." He said shaking his head.

"How do you know the Dark One wants you alive to find something?" Maxwell finally asked the big important question. I looked at him feeling annoyed that he had to ask me that question. I was terrible at lying, lying didn't hold logic, but I would keep this simple.
