I followed after Maxwell and Malaki.
They stepped through the office, and into the training yard that led directly out towards the beach.
By Malaki's pace I realized he was swiftly walking to the exit, did he want to leave now?
"This Is the same sword that you killed Jake with, isn't it?" Maxwell yelled. Malaki kept walking and pushed open the doors.
All that rage that rage Maxwell had bottled up after Jake was rising to the surface.
"Answer me demon spawn." Maxwell yelled.
Malaki's entire body tensed as he froze in his steps. I saw his hands fold into fists. His muscles seemed to twitch, I wondered if he was fighting the deal magic, if he wanted to kill Maxwell right there.
"Maxwell." I said in a warning tone. Maxwell completely ignored me.
"Answer me." He barked at the Dark Prince. Maxwell was too proud for his own good, to controlled by the anger that boiled his blood. I looked at my friend, and saw the pain in his eyes.
"Yes." Malaki hissed as he looked over his shoulder at the both of us. No remorse, no pain. Killing Jake had brought him not hint of regret.
Maxwell turned to me, "You are going to bring that sword here?" His green eyes were blaring and his nostrils flared.
I did not dare answer. I have seen Maxwell like this before, he was one word away from shifting. My hand was hidded behind my leg as I began twirling my fingers, preparing to to neutralize Max.
"Jake," Malaki began with a snort, Maxwell's body began to twitch from rage, "Deserved exactly what he got." Malaki's lips were twisted into a devilish smirk. Even as I shot him a warning glare to wipe the face off, to stop.
Bones and skin ripped apart before me as Maxwell transformed into a reptilian beast. Malaki smiled, as his feet changed to secure his balance.
Maxwell lunged towards the Dark Prince, but before anyone made contact I violently clasped my hands together.
A wall of water shot out from the sea and created a perfect line dividing Malaki and Maxwell's beast form.
I held my hands together as the wall solidified further, ensuring they could not get together.
Malaki's eyes narrowed as he stared at Maxwell's monstrous shape. His lips curved further and the snarl that rippled from Maxwell's rabid mouth was skin prickling.
"Enough!" I shouted, bringing both their eyes to me. Malaki's eyes were ice, while Maxwell's green ones seemed to calm and turn into Pain.
I held his stare, mianly because I felt I had more control over him than I did the Dark Prince. He body began to transform back into his human form. Skin now fully exposed for all to see.
I dropped the wall as I felt Maxwell was calmer.
He did not stop staring at me though. His eyes made my own burn as I looked into those green pits of kindness. "Jake was a good guy, he didn't deserve death."
"The sword feeds off darkness, and it had a field day with your friend." Malaki said in a calmer tone. "If Jake was innocent, it would have just killed him."
Maxwell shot him a warning glare.
I rolled my eyes, and barked, "That's not better Malaki."
Malaki looked at me and then at Maxwell, "He would have rapped her." His eyes were still ice as the words broke from his lips.
