He narrowed his eyes at me before he began shaking his head. "You really are stubborn Princess."
Yes, I was, especially when my apparent Soulmate is a deranged psychopath.
"Let's just go get Isaac and Max." I said lowering my weapon and relaxing my power slightly.
He slowly nodded and led me back through the door and back down the spiral staircase.
He led me to a different corridor that was lined with steel doors on each side.
Guards lay on the ground, their mouths foaming like the previous one.
Malaki began flicking his hands and opening each door, looking to see if he could find Isaac or Maxwell, I stood guard, prepared to defend myself or Malaki, if needed.
Malaki reached the third door on the left, opening it up. He froze in front of it.
"Brianna?" He asked with shock in his words.
"Ki?" A soft female voice spoke from inside.
He rushed into the cell, while I walked towards the door slowly, I kept my back to him as I kept watch.
"Oh, my word Ki." She shrieked. I looked over my shoulder to see Malaki's arms wrapped around a petite girl with beautiful dark skin. I couldn't see her face, as she was pressing herself into Malaki's chest. Did she call him Ki?
"Oh Ki, I messed up." She said crying. "I saw the future change, but I couldn't tell the Dark one what I saw."
She was a seer. A seer who was in Malaki's arms. A seer who called him Ki.
"Why not?" He said gently.
"If I told him, he would kill you Ki." She said crying some more.
"Malaki, we need to hurry." I said slowly turning to face them.
I saw her brown eyes meet mine and she released Malaki slowly. Her hair was in a beautiful afro that exposed her high cheeks and full lips. She was short and petite, but was also curvy.
"You." She whispered with a look of shock.
"Not now." Malaki said gripping her hand and pulling her out of the cell and past me.
He continued forward unlocking cells while he held onto Brianna's hand. I looked at it feeling a tinge of jealousy, I shook my head trying to get the illogical emotion out of my head.
"Isaac." Malaki eventually said after unlocking a cell.
I rushed towards the cell to see Isaac crouched over, his face bruised and beaten.
Malaki flicked his fingers and the shackles around Isaac broke off.
I knelt down in front of him cupping his face. His eyes were red and swollen and his face blue. I examined his body to see that his leg looked broken. How was he going to walk?
The ocean was with me...
I looked at the Trident and at the crystal, with my left hand I began twirling my finger around. A smile formed around my mouth as a trail of water began to flow from the crystal, fresh ocean water.
"Brilliant." Malaki said with a grin.
I brought the water towards Isaac and moved it over his leg and over his face watching the healing properties take hold. His swelling came down and his leg snapped back into place. He starred at me with a faint smile as he began to heal.
"You live." He said in a gentle tone.
"Always." I said releasing the water and getting up once Isaac was completely healed. I put out my hand to help him get up.
