"Marilla!"
I snapped my head to the side in panic. All around me people were screaming, and I wasn't able to move.
"Marilla!" I looked to find the voice, waves of fear washing over me. Then I saw her face, the woman bending over, her black hair falling over her blue eyes. She was waving me over with panic in her face.
I ran over to her, getting a better view of her, she wore a white tunic decorated with silver and blue.
I was almost to her, she is so close.
BOOM
I looked towards the noise that came from my right, noticing a ball of darkness spreading over the horizon.
"Marilla!"
The woman continued but my eyes were fixed on the dark clouds spreading out over us. I had never seen anything like it.
I saw large leathery wings spread out in between the clouds. Was it a dragon?
I felt arms wrap around me, I looked up to see her Black hair covering her blue eyes. She looked scared as she looked into the sky.
I followed her gaze to see a man flying towards us. A man with Leathery wings. His white hair visible from here.
"What are you doing?" A velvet voice snapped my eyes open. I sat with my legs crossed on the sand facing the ocean, the sun blaring down on me.
I looked around to see Malaki staring at me, his head tilted to the side as he examined my sitting position.
"I was meditating." I said with annoyance, that was the furthest I had ever gotten, and he had just disturbed me.
He came to stand next to me. "Why?" He said looking curious. I had a better view of his face now, and noted that it healing fast. Must be nice to be a powerful Dark Prince.
I looked forward as I rearranged my legs to be more comfortable, letting my feet meet the waters waves. With each wave hitting them, they glimmered.
"Beautiful." Malaki whistled out next to me as he began to sit in the sand.
I looked at him to see his eyes transfixed on my glowing feet. It occurred to me that he had never seen actually seen my glowing skin. He had arrived after my glowing incident on the beach that day.
I looked at his lips, how they were almost perfectly healed, and wondered what favor he would ask.
"I have questions about your favors." I started moving my eyes from his lips.
"I'm sure." He said calmly. "Ask away Princess."
I rolled my eyes at the word he called me. "You aren't going to make me.... Sleep with you, are you?" I asked tracing my bare legs with my fingers.
"You offend me Princess." He said tilting his head at me.
"I do?" I asked looking at him confused.
"I would never rape you or anyone else." He said looking disgusted that I thought he would.
I let out a laugh, "Kill children, destroy civilizations, but rape is bad."
"One child." Malaki said looking at the sand, shame covering his face. He clenched his fists as he began remembering something. A flicker of darkness crossed over those eyes.
But staring at him, even with guilt over his face, all I saw was the war criminal who killed my people. I was not about to sit and comfort him.
I turned my attention back to the ocean in front of me. I had saved this Dark Prince. I had made a deal with the devil, and I knew, I would end up regretting up.
