I opened my eyes to be looking at the creature. He was frozen, staring at me, letting out slight growls, but he was no longer attacking me.

I looked to my hands to see that I was holding the trident. It shimmered silver and blue, with silver vine pattern twisting up from the bottom of the rod to the top, flaring out towards the points. A blue Crystal sat in the middle of the trident, glowing like my skin.

Maxwell swam over to me, and I noticed he was bleeding.

I twirled my left hand as I held on to the trident with my right. Within seconds, I watched as Maxwell's cuts stitched back together. It usually took longer to heal, but I suppose the Trident was helping.

Once he healed, I pointed up to gesture that we must go back up.

We swam up slowly, I felt the water twirled around my legs again, creating a tail. I looked down admiring the beauty of it. Soon the sun was visible from above, and soon the figures of Isaac and Malaki to.

Malaki... I remembered everything now.

I shot out of the water Trident in hand and landed on the solid water next to Isaac.

I looked at Malaki, unsure how to feel about him after what I now remembered.

"The Trident of the Seven Seas." Isaac said putting his hand out to touch it.

"Don't do that." I warned him. I didn't know why I warned him, but I knew he shouldn't touch it.

"She's right." Malaki said as he pulled Maxwell who was back to being human out of the water. "Only she can wield it."

"Is it just me or do those vines wrapping around the rod look like the ones on your spine?" Maxwell said pulling up pants.

"You are right." Isaac said examining the silver vines.

"Tritons Mark..." I whispered to myself, remembered what Malaki had told me.

"She was always meant to be the owner of that." Malaki said walking towards me and smiling.

I stepped back from impulse, remembering him and Lenora. Remembering how she had stabbed my mother, how Malaki had not stopped her the second time.

He stopped and examined my face. "Marilla?" He asked looking concerned.

I turned away from him, trying to calm myself down. Logic above emotion, logic above emotion.

"We have the trident, what now Malaki?" I asked over my shoulder.

"We rest, and we get you trained on how to use that thing." He said gesturing to the Trident.

"Something is wrong." Isaac said spinning around to look up. I followed his gaze, so did Malaki and Maxwell.

Far off, the shield looked like it was cracking. Like it was being pulled apart.

"We need to leave." Isaac demanded gesturing for us to come over to him quickly.

I moved towards him, but looked up to see the shield break.

Around us a dozen dark columns of smoke hit the solidified water, from each a Dark Minion walked out.

Malaki grabbed me and pushed me behind him, Isaac and Maxwell also got ready to defend.

From one column of smoke a tall, slender woman, with red hair walked out of the column. Her one blue and one brown eyes tracing over us.

Lenora...

"Well done, Malaki." She said with a wide grin. "You got us the Trident, plus the Princess." She said laughing.

I looked at Malaki who seemed to be contemplating options. My blood began to boil, and I felt rage rising to my face. Why wasn't he saying anything, denying anything.

"Malaki?" Isaac said instead of me.

Malaki's lips curved up in a sinister way, and my blood froze. flicked his hand, slamming Isaac into the solidified floor. Maxwell growled and began to transform, but Malaki did the same to him. They both quickly lay unconscious in front of me.

I grabbed the Trident ready to attack Malaki, but he swung around and flicked the Trident out of my hand too, it slid across the floor, and just before it slipped off the edge, he put out his hand and managed to stop it using his powers. He couldn't touch it but he could use his powers to hold it up.

I felt my heart drop as I realized that Malaki was turning on us, and maybe had played us from the beginning.

He rushed towards me, twisting me around and holding my hands together with his one hand. He was physically too strong for me to fight off without my powers. He knew that, he trained me.

"Malaki." I said dropping my head in shame.

"Logic over emotions." He whispered into my ear. I pulled away from him feeling completely defeated. This was all my fault.

"Where have you been my Prince?" Lenora asked with wide arms as she continued to smile, revealing brilliant white teeth.

I struggled against Malaki, but he had me tightly secured.

"I ran into some trouble." He stated harshly, "I was bound with deal magic."

My heard broke as he continued to talk.

"Will you take her?" Malaki asked to one of the minions. His warm firm hands were quickly replaced by cold, solid hands.

He stepped in front of me and towards Lenora. He did not even give me a second glance.

"Poor demon prince." Lenora teased as her lips remained up turned.

"Why did you not call me sooner." She asked tracing a slender finger with long red nails down his face.

"I realized I could use her to get that." He gestured to the Trident that still floated in the air.

"Smart." She said softly as his hand wrapped around the one cupping her face.

She looked over at me, and I got to stare into the face of the woman who killed my mom.

"She seems to broken Malaki." She said with excitement. "What did you do to her?"

Malaki finally turned to face me again. He looked completely cold, completely heart less. I let out a gasp of pain.

"Oh... I may have had a bit too much fun with this play thing Lenora." His head tilted to the side as his lips curved up.

"Should I be jealous?" She asked looking over his shoulder at him.

"Never." He leaned into his and traced his thumb over her lower lips. "But she was fun." He released the womans lips. "She was a virgin."

My heart cracked even more.

"Oh, Malaki, you didn't." Lenora said with so much glee it made me want to scream.

"She practically begged." He laughed out.

"I hate you." I spat.

He looked over at me and tilted his head, "That does not sound very logical." He mocked me.

Lenora walked towards me, grabbing my jaw in a tight grip. "Don't be sad Mermaid." She hissed. "Malaki is great at manipulating people."

I pulled my head away from her, feeling my blood boil. I wanted to kill her, to kill Malaki. I couldn't move, but I would figure out a way to kill them. Every cell in my body was boiling.

"Knock her out." Malaki said to Lenora.

She smiled and clicked her fingers.
