- luke - late drives

~| you wake up at 3 in the morning and luke can't get you to fall asleep until an idea pops in his head |~

Luke POV:

i woke up to loud cries and screams groaning trying to get up
i heard y/n crying and babbling banging on her crib bars, i quietly jogged down the hall and into her room " d-dada " she cried as i huffed picking her up,

" shh, dada's here, whats the matter pumpkin " i said bouncing her around but she just cling onto me and continued to cry,

" how about we make you your bottle, yeah? " i said as she shook her head " do you need a change " i said feeling around her pull up but it was dry

" alright alright no need for these tears, princesses don't cry " i said as she just continued to cry, this wasn't usually a normal thing she never woke up this early just to cry, either she had a dream, something scared her or she couldn't sleep and she was mad about it,

I figured since it was Saturday some of our fans would be awake so i tweeted on tips for how to calm her down, about 2 minutes later I was reading through the tweets some of them reading

let her sit in the tub babies love water

maybe a bottle or snack

early night cuddles and cartoons

read her a book

sing to her

lay with her and cuddle

but there was one that caught my eye " drive around and play soft calming music " i said out loud

I quickly put my sandals on and grabbed y/n's little blanket,

" it's alright calm down, we're going on a little drive baby " i said walking out the front door, I sat her in her car seat only for her to grip onto my fingers " da-dada " she whined as I kissed her cheek telling her I'd be in the front and she'd be okay

I slipped my fingers away and got in starting the car, I went to YouTube playing soft calming music her cries were coming to end as soon as I drove her,

i drove around the block about 5 times before her cries stopped and she was only sniffling trying to calm herself down,

" wanna go home and you can cuddle with dada " i said as she wiped her eyes " d-dada be-d " she hiccuped as i nodded " we can sleep in my bed if you want " i said as she nodded " want a bottle too " i said as she nodded

I quickly turned the corner and pulling into the drive way, I got her out her car seat and walked to the kitchen to get her bottle pouring some milk while she watched me sitting on the counter,

I warmed up her milk and wrapped her in her blanket walking upstairs to my room,

i cuddled up to her as she drank her bottle with one arm over head playing with my hair, i gave her chubby little cheeks soft kisses every now and then but by the time she fell asleep it was 4:27
