A/N - Video is of Wanda Maximoff's power if you needed a visualizer. That is basically your quirk but a sapphire blue instead.

7:12 am was when your alarm clock went off in the morning, the morning you've been waiting for for the past few years. Today was UA's entrance exam, the exam that would decide your future as a hero. You had prepared for this for years, becoming the strongest ninth grader at your junior high school in the process. Being blessed with a super powerful quirk like you had was something you were more than grateful for. Your quirk was being able to move things with your mind and manipulate energy to form balls of blue that looked like fire, and you intended to show it off in the best way possible today.

(1st person POV)

I groaned as I forced myself to get out of bed. 7 in the morning was way too early, especially after I had been waking up at 10 these past two months. But then I remembered what day it was, and I sprang out of bed, got dressed in a pair of sleek black leggings and a tight, long sleeve blue shirt, and quickly grabbed a bite to eat on my way out. I did my hair as I walked to the bus station, two dutch braids down to the back of my head, until I reached my destination. I finished tying my second braid as I hopped on the bus, took my seat, and waited until I arrived.

I stepped off the bus as butterflies filled my stomach. As I walked, I got lost in my thoughts.

I reassured myself many times that I was prepared for this, and that I would do just fine. All this training wasn't for nothing, that's for sure. On my way in, I bumped into a girl slightly taller than me, with big brown eyes and short brown hair.

"Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going," I said with a slight bow.

"Oh don't worry about it, I wasn't paying much attention either. I'm Ochaco Uraraka by the way." she responded.

"I'm Kayla Y/L/N, nice to meet you."

"I'm assuming you're here for the entrance exam, what's your quirk." she asked.

"Yeah I am, my quirk is energy manipulation," I said with a small laugh as I hold up a small ball of blue energy to show her. "What's your quirk?"

"My quirk is zero gravity, I can float anything I touch," she says, floating me a few inches off the ground for demonstration.

"That's awesome," I say. "Do you wanna walk with me to the main presentation?"

"That would be great. Let's go."

I continue to make small talk with Ochaco as we make our way over. She loves to talk, and she's really nice as well. We finally reach our destination, and take our seats next to a tall boy with blue hair and glasses. I'm just about to introduce myself, when Present Mic starts to speak.

He goes over all the rules and what's about to go down. He explains that we will be facing three different kinds of robots, and we will get a certain amount of points for each. He also mentions that there will be a robot worth zero points, and to avoid it when necessary. When the presentation ends, we make our way to our different battlegrounds, and me and Ochaco are forced to split up as I have to go to battleground C while she goes to B.

As I arrive at battlefield C, I realize just how big it really is. It's basically one huge city behind the huge walls, and the sight of it makes me nervous. I look around and see no one I am familiar with, and everyone seems to be standing by themselves, hyping themselves up. I do the same. When those doors open, I'm going to be the first person out there, ready to kick some robot ass.

Suddenly the doors creak open, and I hear a loud siren. I rush in along with everyone else, and I use my quirk to push myself up above the rest. I am one of the first people in, and I get to exploring the city, looking for robots.

Out of the corner of my eye I see a flash of green metal, and I hurry after it. A 2 pointer. I make quick work of it with a medium energy ball that I threw at its middle, and it explodes into pieces. However, I don't stop there. As many robots of all kinds attempt to get in my way, I blow them to pieces using my quirk. Four of them approach me at once, and I create a huge ball of energy, and it takes out all of them. That should be about 20 points by now. By now I'm out of breath, so I hide around a corner to gather my bearings. That's the only problem with my quirk, summoning a lot of energy gets rid of a lot of mine, but I find my ways around it. Once I've caught my breath I get back in the action.

With not many robots left to go, I start helping out other competitors, and we work together to take down a few more. By now I should be at about 33 points, which is quite a lot, but there doesn't seem to be any more robots. By now everyone else has started to settle down, and just when we thought it was over, the real action begins.

The ground starts to shake, and out of nowhere, a giant robot taller than the buildings comes out of the ground, and proceeds to come at us.

"Holy shit," I say under my breath.

Most of my fellow competitors make a run for it, clearly recognizing it as the zero pointer. I decide to stick around however, as it can't hurt my score to see how well I do against it.

"Hell yeah," a guy with spiky red hair says beside me, the only other person that didn't run away. "You thinking what I'm thinking," he says, looking at me.

I recognize him as my biggest competition, he probably has just about the same amount of points as I do. I saw him running around near me earlier, smashing robots with his own hands.

"Of course," I say. "Let's kick ass."

We both charge at it, and I take to the air, landing on a building within a fair distance of it. I load up two energy balls, and throw them as hard as I can at it. They make a few dents, but it barely slows it down. I try lifting it up to throw it back down, but it's too heavy, and the best I can do is only stop it from moving. I let it go of it, when I hear a call from down below.

"Hey wait, do that again!" The boy yells.

I proceed to stop the robots movement again, as he runs full speed at it. I notice his body change somehow as he jumps through the air, leaving harsh dents all over the robot. As I continue to hold it in place using one hand, now that it's been weakened, I create a few small energy balls, and throw them at the robots head. After repeating this for a few minutes, a few other competitors join us, and together we take it down. I let go of the robot, giving it a push backwards so it won't fall on anyone, and join everyone else back on the ground. As I land, I'm forced to sit down so I don't end up passing out from exhaustion, and the boy with the red hair walks over to me.

"Hey that was sick, you got one powerful quirk," he says.

"Thanks, yours isn't half bad either," I say with a smile. "I'm Kayla Y/L/N by the way."

"Erjiro Kirishima," he says.

"Cool, anyways lets hope we both make it to UA," I say.

"Yeah. I guess we'll have to wait and see," he says, reaching out a hand to help me up. I take it and make my way towards the exit.

As I leave the battlegrounds, a smile is plastered across my face. Today couldn't have gone better, save for a few scraps and bruises. I ended with quite a few points, and I'm just hoping that it's enough to get me in.
