Chapter 16 - Vs Todoroki

A/N - K so I know Y/N should be playing Bakugo next, but I decided I wanted her to fight Todoroki, so I switched up the final four a bit. Iida will fight Bakugo and Y/N will fight Todoroki for the semis.

After my battle with Tokoyami, I had to go see recovery girl for awhile. Turns out I broke two of my ribs on my left side when I fell, plus the many scratches and bruises. I slept for about an hour before it was time for my next battle. 

I woke up right before the first match of the semi-finals began, so I had some time to prepare myself. On my way to waiting room 1, I bump into the man himself.

"Sorry Bakugo, didn't see you there," I say.

"Watch where you're going extra," he says.

"Oh c'mon, you weren't paying attention either. Dumbass," I say, whispering the last part.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!" He yells.

"Woah woah you don't need to yell, calm down," I say, rolling my eyes.

"Whatever, you better beat that Icy-hot. I wanna beat you in the finals you know." he responds with a "tsk".

"Don't you have to actually win the semis first," I say with a small smirk.

He just "tsk"s again, before walking in the opposite direction. I get back on track and go to my waiting room.

"You better believe I'm gonna win, so you better too," he says as he walks away.

I get to my room, and as I sit down, I try to think of a strategy to use against Todoroki. I'm practically shaking in my shoes right now, which is NOT good. 

It's just Todoroki, I tell myself.

You can beat him if you give it your all.

But if I don't have a goddamn strategy, then I won't. Damn, I really should've just went to watch the other battle, it would've gotten my mind off of it. Some people enjoy being alone when they want to think. But not me. If I have to sit here any longer I might lose it.

"Hey Y/N!"

I turn towards the door to see Midoriya and Ochaco standing there, waiting to come in. 

Oh thank god. 

"Hey guys, c'mon in, I could use the company," I say.

"Sure, but we won't be long, Iida and Bakugo's battle just started, so you'll be up there soon," says Midoriya.

Oh yeah, I forgot Bakugo had to fight there for a sec. I hope he does what he said he will. 

"That'll be a close fight, hopefully," I say.

"Yeah, but have you got any idea on how you're gonna beat Todoroki?" Midoriya asks me.

"Not yet, unfortunately. I might just have to wing it at this point," I sulk.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, Todoroki has been seemingly upset today," says Midoriya.

"Well let's just hope that'll give me the advantage," I say.

"AND IIDA IS OUT OF BOUNDS! BAKUGO WINS," I hear Present Mic yell all the way from the arena.

"You should get going, Y/N," says Midoriya.

"You got this!" Says Ochaco, giving me a thumbs up.

"Right, see you guys later," I say, before leaving the room.

I find myself standing at the same spot as before my other two fights, about to get on stage.

"Now wasn't that close! Let's hope for some more great action in this second semi finals match!" Yells Present Mic.
