I follow Bear into the dining room. Mac sees that Bear was fuming and turns to Jay. "Jay can you take Nat out to the yard?" Mac asks.
Jay nods quickly and puts Nat on his back, running out the back door. Hamish follows.
"You had no right to tell Danny I didn't deserve her," Bear snaps.
Mac glares at me. "So you tell him everything we say now?"
"I only said it as a joke, when I got off the phone," I mumble.
"Look I didn't put it like that," Mac says. "I just said that I thought she could do better."
"Why because I went to prison," he hisses. "If you remember Mac I wasn't the one who was suppose to go."
"Mitch-"
"Don't fucking defend her," Bear snaps at Darren.
"She's my wife," Darren yells. "And whether you like it or not, Mitchell she will be in your life forever. Cause she's the mother of my child."
Bear scoffs. "Whatever."
"I didn't want Danny to be caught up in your mess Bear," Mac says. "You relapsed last year, and I didn't-"
"You relapsed!?" Darren snaps.
"It isn't a big deal," Bear growls. "I was lonely and-"
"I told you to come to me when you had those thoughts," Darren says.
"Well I didn't," Bear snaps. "I haven't done it since then, so it's nothing anyway."
"It is when your addicted to cocaine Bear," Darren spat.
"You were what?"
We all turn around and see a gobsmacked Jay. "Jay-"
"Why am I only just hearing about this?" He asks, storming towards us. "And how did Danny know before me?"
"We didn't wanna worry you," Darren says.
"What else have you been keeping from me?" He growls.
The boys look away from Jay. Mac sighs. "Bear went to jail for Darren."
"What!?" Jay screams.
"I didn't want him to miss Natashas birth," Bear states.
"Well that's sweet," Jay murmurs. He punches Darren in the arm. "How could you let him do that?"
"I didn't want to," Darren argues. "But he wanted to get clean, and it was the only way."
"I can't believe you kept this from me," Jay huffs. "I thought we were close."
"We are sorry," Bear grumbles.
"And you," Jay growls, pointing at Mac. "You don't have the right to decide who and what is good for Danny. She gets to decide. And I think she's made the best decision to be with Bear."
"Well yeah, we made that bet remember," Mac says. "You said they'd get together and I said they wouldn't."
"Easiest fifty bucks I ever made," Jay jokes, nudging Bear. Bear just scowls at him.
"Okay from now on, no keeping secrets okay?" Darren says.
All the brothers nod. "Well I better tell you guys the secret I've been keeping," Jay murmurs.
"What?" Bear grunts.
"Hamish and I are in a controlling relationship," Jay says.
Darren looks at Jay confused. "What?"
"Hamish controls me," Jay murmurs. "He picks my clothes, my choices and what I have for lunch."
"That's weird," Bear comments. I slap his arm and he glares at me.
"Well it's my life," Jay says. "And I like it this way."
"Whatever makes you happy, Jayden," Darren says.
Darren and Jay hug. Jay holds his arm out for Bear who groans but joins anyway.
What a cute little family.

It was eleven o'clock and I was pacing the living room. Where was Bear? He wasn't answering his calls or texts.I hate to be that clingy girlfriend, but I was being that clingy girlfriend.
Suddenly I hear banging outside and grab my tennis racket. I slowly open the door and stare at a completely wasted Bear.
"Danny," he cheers. "I could not get that door open."
"What have you been?" I ask, crossing my arms.
"At a bar," Bear answers. "I think I'm a little drunk."
I chuckle and help him off the floor. He stumbles into the apartment chucking his keys into the counter. "Who'd you go to the bar with?" I ask.
He frowns. "I can't remember."
"Why didn't you pick up my calls?" I ask, wrapping my arms around him. "You had me worried."
"I lost my phone," he laughs.
"Great," I mutter. "Let's get you to bed, Bear."
"No," he whines. "I don't want to go to bed."
"Your drunk," I say. "Let's get some sleep okay?"
He pouts. "I want to stay up with you."
I giggle. "How about we go cuddle?"
"Yes please," he yells. He runs away and I follow him. He gets up on my bed and starts jumping on it.
"Get down Bear," I order. He pouts again and falls onto his ass. I gasp in horror as the bed breaks underneath him.
"I think you might need a new bed," Bear states, getting up.
"You think?" I question, dryly.
"You look so hot right now," he growls playfully. He stalks over to me and kisses me.
I quickly pull away before it could go somewhere. "Bed."
He groans and storms off to his room.
When I get there he was passed out. I put a blanket over him and place a bucket by his head.
Just in case.
I don't think he'd be too happy to wake up sober with puke on his floor.
I decided to sleep on the couch.
You know, just in case.
