I wake up and it was dark out.
Bear did a really big number on me. I slowly stand up, my legs shaking and head out into the living room.
Bear smirks when he sees me and pulls me onto his lap.
He was hard.
"No more," I pant.
"Not today," he says. "I just can't help it when your naked."
I chuckle and lay my head on his shoulder. "Sorry."
"Don't be," he whispers. "Are you sore?"
"Just a little," I say dryly, looking up and glaring at him.
"Sorry," he laughs.
"You are not," I scoff, crossing my arms.
"No I'm not," he admits. "You taste Devine."
"Stop," I whine, feeling a little blush on my cheeks.
"No need to be embarrassed," he says. "I'm sure I taste good too."
"I don't know," I say. "You never let me swallow."
He throws his head back laughing. It was the best sound ever.
"I love you," he says.
"I love you too," I whisper. I place a soft kiss on his mouth.
The next morning, Bear and I got dressed up for a brunch with my dad and his new girlfriend.
You know the bridesmaid from my aunt Lydia's wedding.
I'm very happy for him.
Her name was Jasmin. Her and aunt Lydia work together and have become close friends because of that.
They are lawyers by the way.
Bear and I enter the cafe, hand in hand and see dad and Jasmin already waiting for us at a table.
Jasmin and I hug, while the two men handshake.
"It's nice to see you again, Danny," Jasmin says. "Though this time I hope I don't see you hit your ex."
"No promises," I tease.
We both giggle and turn to the men, who were talking about cars.
Of fucking course.
We sit down at the table and I watch as my dad wraps his arm around Jasmin's shoulder.
Sly.
"How have you two been since the wedding?" Dad asks.
"Good," I answer. "Bear might be getting another niece or nephew soon."
"Jay?"
I giggle shaking my head. "Mac again."
"Ooh nice," dad says. "How's school?"
"I passed my semester," I say. "I start again in two weeks."
"Very good," dad says. "Well I've just applied for a job as commissioner."
I gasp. "Oh my god!"
"I haven't got it," dad states. "Not yet anyway."
"I hope you do," I say.
"And what do you do, Uh, Bear is it?" Jasmin asks.
"I'm a mechanic," he answers.
"Maybe you could check my car," Jasmin suggests. "It keeps making a weird sound."
"You mean you hitting the accelerator instead of the brakes?" Dad jokes.
"Funny," Jasmin retorts.
"Have you heard from your mum?" Dad asks.
"Sadly no," I say, fake pouting. Bear chuckles.
"Jason?"
"Not a word," I state.
"Jason is the one you punched?" Jasmin questions.
"I did," I say proudly. I see dad glaring at something. "What?"
"Is that a tattoo?"
Oh shit.
"Well yes," I say awkwardly. "It's a Bear," I state, showing him
"For Bear?"
"Yeah," I laugh. "His brother Darren did it."
"What happens if you break up?" Dad asks.
"Well we won't," I say.
"How do you know that?" Dad asks.
"I'll take this one," bear says to me. "Nick, I love Danny and I don't see my life without her. She brightens my life and I take care of her. And I also don't find her mother attractive."
I giggle and I see my dad smile a bit. "I guess that last one was a good point," dad mutters.
"I'd even like to marry her," Bear says.
Dad and I stare at Bear in shock. "You what?" I whisper.
"Not now, obviously," he states. "You have to finish uni, but I see myself marrying you."
Jasmin awes. "That's so beautiful."
"I love you, Danny Moore," he whispers, placing a soft kiss on my lips.
I smile. "I love you too, Bear Roberts."
I can't believe all it took to find happiness was to, lose my ex fiancé to my mum.
I guess it's right in saying you can't seek true happiness. It has to seek you.
And it did.
That happinesses name was Bear Roberts.
