Christopher Rodriquez's POV
A week later,
It was night and I had just returned from ARC. As I entered the house, I saw Angel and Sky running from the kitchen to the living hall.
"What happened? Why are you both running? Angel? Sky?" I asked, only to hear Sky, "Stay out of this, Chris!"
"Ouch! That is rude and it hurts..." I said that went unheard as they were running around.
Ufff!!! I shook my head as I walked to sit in the sofa and when finally Sky caught hold off Angel, she carried her to the sofa to sit next to me.
"This little Angel of yours ate four chocolates and is lying that she just had one..."
"That is it?" I scoffed and Sky gave a stern look.
"Okay..." I said and turned towards Angel.
"Angel?" I asked and saw her mischievous smile. I pulled her towards me and said to her, "Why don't you take another one for you and get one for dad too?"
"Chris... No..." Sky cried while Angel did a hi-fi with me and ran away. Sky was about to run behind her and I held her wrist. She turned towards me.
"Leave... It is just chocolates..." I shrugged.
"Chris? She already ate a lot today..." Sky whined and slapped my hand away. I was scanning her all long that I didn't even listen to what she was replying until she clicked her fingers in front of me.
"What are you staring at?" She asked and I shook my head, taking her hands in mine.
"Something really beautiful and mine..." I said looking at her again and kissed her fingers.
Her pissed off mood flew and a shy smile appeared. She held my hand tight and walked to stand in front of me, looking into my eyes saying, "I love you... I just don't know whether I had said it enough for you to understand that... that is how much I love you..."
"Even if you try, you can't put that into words..." I stood up and caressing her cheek with my thumb. "And I understand that because that is how I felt the first time I said it to you..."
She leaned in, hugging me tight. We saw Angel running from the kitchen towards us.
"But please, no more chocolates... Please!" Sky asked, slightly punching my chest. I pursed my lips and nodded, thinking what I should do. Sky made her sit on her lap and hugged, kissing her forehead.
"Angel... What happened in school today?" I asked and silently sneaked the chocolates from her hand as she got indulged in her stories.
I looked at Sky who smiled and we listened to what Angel was telling. After few minutes, we had dinner and I got a call from Gina about work. When the call ended, I walked down to see them strolling in the garden. I sat on the chair checking the email and looked up to see them every other second. Something kept me off the track... It was... Sky...
Something about her was getting me really distracted... Her smile... Wavy hair... White shirt... Her petite body... And then her eyes that caught me staring... Shoot! I switched back to checking emails and noticed Angel running inside the house.
"Angel... Go to sleep... I'll come and check!" I said and didn't hear a reply. Instead there was Sky standing in front of me, clearing her throat.
"What?" I asked, trying hard to look away and still failed miserably.
"What what?" She asked and I shrugged, getting back to the phone. She walked closer and stood just a feet away from me. I hung my head down, just to breath out and pulled her on my lap. My hand around her waist caught her safely and I kept the phone on the table. She sat comfortably, leaning against my chest and face buried in the crook of my neck.
